mclz
Next week I will be in Chicago for the Yankees/Cubs games. I know I am going to Reckless as well as Kuma's Corner to get a burger. There is obviously tons of other stuff to do....as in what?

steventangent
Wait. I have better suggestions. tell everyone you're from Detroit. shop in a mall and eat at subway. irritate someone by refusing to acknowledge the difference between electronic music genres in favor of calling them all "techno." because let's face it. clydeftones
OP banged out my trifecta of Wrigley, Reckless and Kuma's. have friends in Chicago who signed off on that being enough.
pjaicomo
hot dougs No. SHUT UP BOBBY. SHUT UP! Go to Margie's Candies and eat a gravy boat of hot fudge. It's a cartoon dog's vision of icecream heaven.
xjustinxschwierx
well he's going to a White Sox game, so, even though they will probably lose to the Yanks, it's better than paying to see the Cubs lose. Also, Bad Apple Bar needs to be on this list as a Kuma's alternative...not as epic, but no 2 hour waiting in line to get a table either. bgdesign
http://www.ubersteinchicago.com/ My favorite beer and they have good food. Plus it's right in Wrigleyville.
j4m35
marc, unless you genuinely enjoy the grease trucks in new brunswick on a saturday night in the school year, you're probably going to hate wrigleyville after the game. go to the gingerman, at clark and grace (north of wrigley on clark a block) after the game. only decent place in wrigleyville. for a better burger but less novelty go to hamburger mary's at clark and balmoral instead of kuma's. also, they homebrew their own beer in the restaurant and it's cheap and awesome. buy a CTA 3-day pass, go to the beach and get a hot dog. mclz
why isnt "hang out with justin communique" not on that list. It should be on my list. Hopefully I can meet up with Justin as when the game isn't going on I am going to be in my hotel room doing work for school, but if I get enough done I could take a night off. kgry
Why the hell do people who come to Chicago think Kumas is the place to go for a burger? Seriously, it's lame as fuck to even be seen in that place now. It's like saying Piece is the best pizza in town. I guess the city has to make money some how from tourists. xjustinxschwierx
I've never gone to Kuma's for any sort of status achievement, so I can't comment on that, but the food is really fucking good, it's not hype at all, the wait for a table got fucking old. just because a restaurant gets publicized a lot doesn't always diminish the actual quality of food, sometimes the hype is worthy of the food they're making. kgry
The food is good no doubt.
flood
kumas is excellent, and worthy of the hype.... seeing the people that go there now makes it even more ridiculous. bad apple was solid... the apps/beer selection was great.. the burger i had was good.. not kumas by any means, but was a solid alternative. j4m35
kumas is definitely a good burger, but half the reason people go there is because of the association it has with metal culture. if you just straight up want a great, homebrewed beer and a better burger, definitely go to hamburger mary's.
