Albums That Should NEVER Be RE-PRESSED on Vinyl

Recommended Posts

This thread is retarded.

this.

wanting records to stay rare and exclusive is selfish and lame.

i've been known to pay an arm and a leg for records i really want with my tax returns, but it doesn't make me feel all holier than thou for having them.

it makes me sad that i have to drop that much to own something i love when someone somewhere payed much less at some point in time.

that being said, who wants a sealed copy of the 40oz repress for $40?

Anyway, my vote is for Frampton Comes Alive, Rumours, Dark Side of the Moon, or any record that sold tens of millions in the 70s. There are still hundreds of thousands of nice copies out there in used bins for less than $10, there is no reason for a Back To Black ORG 180 gram Remastered RTI Special Anniversary Edition repress.

I'm with you on this. $30 reissues on "audiophile" vinyl is silly on these. They take away from things that really need to be pressed on vinyl... like pretty much everything from the 90's.
