retrospectacle
I did a "black friday" search that returned no results so I figured we should start listing this stuff in one place. nivek87
I was just thinking about black friday rsd and was wondering when things would start to pop up.
selfreliable
If anything like last years, shit wont be talked about til November. They are notoriously bad at planning things in advance for this and most bands dont even know if what they planned on will come out for it. nivek87
I feel like I remember reading Brian Fallon saying something in an interview about releasing something for Black Friday with The Horrible Crowes. However, he might of just been spitballing.
kriss
I'm pretty sure none of the releases for this will appeal to me - that and I tend to stay inside during Black Friday and just watch news feeds to read about all the crazy things folks are doing to each other. dynamitekid
Will not be participating in this.
hudsoncomplex
We here in the land of ice and snow don't have black friday.
kforkevin777
Very few bands I'm into do RSD stuff, so I'm sure even fewer bands will do this. My only local records store is tiny and very few people know about it, so he doesn't even get RSD stuff. Which sucks. We have to drive to some place to do RSD, which I haven't gotten to do yet. Looking forward to it next year.
jerseydave77
I hope RSD scales back what releases they'll put their name behind. I walk into a good number of record shops now that have RSD sale bins filled with shitty releases that are over two years old. To say the least, they've over-exposed themselves in my opinion and it feels like they run the risk of becoming irrelevant with the folks that made RSD a success to begin with. sharkie
you mean those $8 Ramones/Red Hot Chili Peppers 7" are totally irrelevant??? stuff like that was stupid.
kforkevin777
I just started collecting right after the last RSD. I've just gotten to the age where I can have money to collect and stuff and I hadn't really been exposed to vinyl until recently. I feel like starting out at eighteen is a good idea though. supafly
I enjoy RSD and have no complaints. I hope they do the Black Friday release again.

[WISDOM] FALSE. at eighteen you should be focusing on sex. preferably with girls (as many as possible). or dudes, if that's yr thing. every 7" you buy is a box of condoms you didn't. you can get the records on ebay later. [/WISDOM]
kforkevin777
Here's hoping Circa will have something for Black Friday. Hahaha. Cardiac.... Wow. xDD Well, if I were to have lots and lots of sex, it would be with girls. But hey. I can afford condoms and 7"s.

kforkevin777
But I rather like my lifestyle. I'll be nineteen on Halloween. Can I start worrying about collecting then? Or is that the drugs and money year? Say Anything doesn't do RSD stuff, do they? Maybe City & Colour will do something. I want to buy a legit RSD press on a legit RSD. It will also include a new version of his obscure "Sweet William," a heavy blues stomper that was a originally a B side to 1999’s Echo track "Room at the Top." Other items pre-announced (before the official press release hits on the 20th) and CONFIRMED so far: Doors LA Woman 3x7" boxset (5000 copies) Janis Joplin 4x7" boxset (5000 copies) Pink Floyd The Wall singles boxset Bob Dylan Singles Boxset Kings of Leon Boxset with bonus LP Wilco Speak Into the Rose Red Vinyl 10" Dr. Dog Control Yourself 7" Jimmy Cliff 12" release Wheedles Groove 10 x 7" boxset (Seattle Funk & Soul from 65 to 79) Also, releases for the Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers (off the new album) and a few more. Supposedly, we will see the Pearl Jam 20 Soundtrack LP too (rumored, not confirmed) It appears that they are trying to limit the releases to around 30, which would be nice. However, they seem to be going for more boxset style releases for the Xmas holiday, which means that most items will likely be pricey. I remember that Beady Eye boxset from April was priced at most stores $45 for 3x7" and a poster. Sources for the items listed above are my local music store, online distributors, band websites, press releases and rsd.nl.
