recordhound1002
As long as you don't put a Single out in a gatefold Im good. I have know idea why that bothers me.
njpunkmusic
I go single. I hate having to flip a record every 15 minutes after only like 3 songs. gets annoying
wiggs1441
Double.
boobz09
single. less annoying and cheaper. also takes up less room on a shelf. I'd rather be able to buy 2 records for $30 than 1 for $25.
larsensteiner
double. way sexier...

steveooo
Money is tight and international shipping is a bitch so I voted with the cheapest.

philviral
Double. An extra 10 bucks doesn't really phase me. Although on the other hand, if it's a band I've never heard of, I'm more likely to pick up a 15 dollar record for shits and giggles, see how I like it.... tittus
Single if possible. It's really annoying having to flip 3 times just to get through one album.
thieves
single. there's 2x the chance of something being wrong with a double
thesupervillain
I would prefer a double, but only if the packaging warrants it. It has to be a gatefold. When someone does a 2xLP and shoves both records into a regular jacket, I get very upset.

kriss
^Or what about triple LP sets shoved into one jacket? Sorry to derail, but the whole non gatefold for more than one LP thing really bugs me.

goombagod
Single. I'm lazy and rock and roll does not need to sound emasculate to me.

jblahmaster
^Or what about triple LP sets shoved into one jacket? Sorry to derail, but the whole non gatefold for more than one LP thing really bugs me. I only agree with this if the single jacket accommodates in size for three lp's. This has been done with a few 2xlps i have and it's pretty great and they don't seem just crammed in there at all.
t-sauce
Bumping this to say I really prefer single LP's to double LP's. Nowadays most albums are too long for a single LP so I understand that. But the new QOTSA could easily fit on a single LP and I'd much prefer that to the double 45's. I understand - improved fidelity - but I'm not really an audiophile, sorry. Does anyone think Matador will press Like Clockwork on a single LP down the road?
