srcvinyl Posted February 10, 2012 Author Share Posted February 10, 2012 Sorry for my lack of updates! It has been a crazy two weeks. So this will be released by early May. Reason being is we decided to get Lucky Lacquers to cut the lacquers. This has added a wee bit of time to the production. This project is really important to us and we want to be sure it sounds great. Danny was at Lobster last week and was able to find all the masters that were received directly from Capitol, where it was mixed and mastered. So we thought Lucky would be the best place to send these off to. As well, the artwork is just about all done! Mike, who did all the original artwork for both of these releases is the one doing the layout for vinyl. It looks sooo good! Both releases will be gatefold. We definitely are not going to put up a pre order for something coming out in early May. So it is still a bit of time before we launch that. Given they are approved (we already approved references from the lacquers) we will announce a pre order which could happen late this week, early next week. Also in addition to test pressings we did 25 press advance copies. They have their own "Press Advance" center labels, are hand numbered etc... etc... We will give away one of these randomly to someone who pre orders and it will ship in advance of the release date. It may ship pre order day, or shortly after. Depending on when jackets arrive. maintreqd Posted March 8, 2012 Share Posted March 8, 2012 I'm assuming fire orange with black smoke just means clear orange with black haze. maybe... although the No Signal color vinyl notes say "translucent purple" for one of the variants, so perhaps not? hoping someone at SRC is reading and can chime in here as to whether or not fire orange w/ black smoke will be translucent or what?
