controlthebleeding
my mailman at my last apt was awesome. if it was too hot, he'd leave a note to pick it up at the office, or he wouldn't tell me and just bring it the next day. dude would always bullshit about records and music and every christmas id slip him a $50 gift certificate for food or credit card. DUde was awesome. i wish everyone was like him.
craigboliver
Mine is pretty great, he gave me my own package drop off box key for our building b/c no one else really gets anything. So I can just leave my ship outs in there for him to take. Made it so easy!
icecream
surprisingly mine is good seeing as how she practically delivered a package to my house almost every day for an entire year. she always made sure the package was safe from weather conditions. only caught her slippin once ! i've seen her maybe twice
Emo Revival
My mailperson is awesome she always makes sure my records are safe and if it even might rain wraps them in plastic and puts them in my storm door. I give her some money on christmas too cause she deserves it for the awesome job she's done. Never once had a messed up package that she delivered. dmarks
My mom is a postie and I've talked to her about similar situations. She says most of them dont really care about that kind of stuff, as long as there aren't any obstacles like crazy dogs or ice or something. Obstacles like ice? What- am I missing something? My old mail man sucked. He left a box of LP's at my mailbox on the ground in the rain which consequently were ruined. Also used to throw them from the bottom of the stairs to the top. But, my new guy is awesome, walks up a steep-ass hill and about 25 stairs and always puts them behind this chair where they wont get wet if it rains. He normally comes at 9am and would wake me up when he knocked, but now he doesn't even knock and just drops them off and leaves me to sleep. What a champ! flood
i know for a fact my ups guy hates me... i live on a huge hill with a big flight of steps to get to my front porch... try dragging a couple dozen boxes of records up that in 100 degree heat ... oof
hankmurphy
Obstacles like ice? What- am I missing something? Probably large blocks of ice. I use them as obstacles all the time. They could also be talking about ice cubes scattered dangerously, like from Home Alone the game for Sega Genesis.

Derek™
There was a small rut I went through where I was ill / emotionally exhausted / broke, and subsequently on vinyl-hiatus. My mailman caught me one afternoon and asked if there was a death in my family, or if everyone was alright. He's had additional respect since then. Eclipsical
I just moved into a new house, and the mail lady I have now seems very cool. Pretty stoked about that, since there was a revolving door or mail carriers at my old apartment complex, most of which just dropped packages off at the leasing office without attempting to deliver them. FlippingOut
Not that records warp THAT fast but one I got in today was left outside in the sun and it was really hot and humid today. Records fine though
shamrocks
yeah my saturday mailman wont walk up my steps (not that i blame him its 20 steps in 100 degree heat) but he leaves my records at the mailbox in direct sunlight...you know what happens next. i thought about leaving a note just telling them to take them back to the post office rather than do that
rand0mher0
My mailman is chill. I've talked with him when things have needed to be signed for, super nice guy. Always goes up my driveway to leave my records at my door in the shade.
