nyhi
http://www.spinner.com/2012/03/09/matt-skiba-sekrets-all-fall-down/ "For fans of Alkaline Trio, Matt Skiba's new solo project should be a welcome addition to the musical library. The frontman formed Matt Skiba and the Sekrets with AFI bassist Hunter Burgan and My Chemical Romance drummer Jarrod Alexander, they'll release their album 'Babylon' on May 8. Spinner is proud to present the exclusive premiere of their track 'All Fall Down' "
One Hundred Fifty-Two
Will need to check this out. Didn't like demos, but was pleasantly surprised with thehell.
SaulManella
i really like it. and its good news that Alkaline Trio are making a new album soon. all these side projects have been worrying me.
harryq
I feel like "all fall down" sounds super similar to "while you're waiting" (at least vocally). not necessarily a bad thing, but that's all I can think about while I'm listening to it... ilikeguitars
Matt is a song writing machine and its hard not to like anything he puts out. looking forward to hearing the whole thing.
scottheisel
A lot of these songs are full-band versions of tracks off Demos, FYI.

hobohunter48
When I saw that members of AFI and MCR (Granted he's a new member) were going to be on this with Matt the middle schooler inside of me pissed his pants. It's like my top 3 middle school bands decided to get together.
donlombardo
This song sounded better than anything Matt's done in like 5 years or something. I was a bit worried, but this was actually good, so I'm glad!
scottheisel
A lot of these songs are full-band versions of tracks off Demos, FYI. Are these better? Eh, a little bit. This record's good, but it's more or less Agony & Irony Part 2. Super-glossy pop-rock.

Didn't hate Agony & Irony. Will download first then. Thanks man.

stokd
This record's good, but it's more or less Agony & Irony Part 2. Super-glossy pop-rock. That's exactly what I thought, production-wise. I'm digging it so far. The only one I'm really interested in is How The Hell Did We Get Here, that was the only demo that had potential imo, and there was a video a while back of Alkaline trying it out live but it doesn't look like it ever turned into a full song until now. aspigasound
I really like the two songs that I've heard so far. What label is releasing this?
benchwarmer
I'm surprised it's not called Matt Skiba and the Banshees after seeing that picture.

xadamhudsonx
I really like the two songs that I've heard so far. What label is releasing this? They signed to Superball Music, but the SBM website only shows the release being available on CD and Digital. Interpunk just posted a pre-order for the album on white vinyl out of 300. No other pressing info that I've found so far. **Edit** 17$ for a single LP before shipping? I think I will hold off and see who else is carrying this before ordering. maintreqd
yeah $17 before shipping blows. of course if i don't i'll be biting my nails waiting for someone else to sell it and eventually probably pull the trigger at interpunk anyway, fearing the 300 copies selling out before I do because i suck
SaulManella
I think I'll wait it out. Kind of bored with white records.
