circuit bored records
Just saw Modern Vinyl post this on facebook, a PO for One Hot Minute: http://www.becausesoundmatters.com/produ....%2FBSMfb%2FO HM So everything's going good until the price... 49.99?? For a 1x LP, are they joking? 10 free CDs couldn't justify that price tag.
travis
Yea I was going to carry this at HT and once I saw the price I just passed on it. I asked WEA what the deal was with the price on it and they said its a special collectors pressing with a 3D lenticular cover or some shit and I think 180 gram colored vinyl. Even with all that its not worth anywhere near what they are selling it for.
almightyseancore
dat price...
plasma36
What the fuck, seriously? You can get an OG, 2LP copy of this off of Discogs for less than this. I guess it cost Warner Bros. a lot of money to convince whoever pressed this to put 61 minutes of music onto a single LP.
youspinmeround
Saw it today in my local store. Cover looks normal. 46.
uniquestyle88
Saw this at my store today too. Had a sticker on it touting 180-Gram Red Vinyl and 3-D lenticular cover. $49.99. Good luck with that. I can't justify $24.99.
jipc
Yeah saw that today here - http://www.whatrecords.co.uk/items/57764.htm Its says its 140g (could well be a misprint). Unfortunately, way out of my wallets league. Which reminds me: Some of you may be interested in this RATM reissue of Evil Empire - http://www.whatrecords.co.uk/items/57739.htm Limited to 500 on 180gm mottled yellow audiophile, in a numbered MOV bag (whatever the hell that is), with whistles, bells and all the trimmings

plasma36
RHCP played Philly on Friday, it was funny to see all the drunk bros on the subway coming back from that.

noodle
Do people actually like the red hot chili peppers? i don't mind their albums, but holy hell, they put on some of the worst shit live. anthony kiedis was terrible each time. now, small sample size, and that was back in the 90s the first time and around 2002 the second. reminds me of STP back in the day... weiland always drugged out of his mind, making the show rough. achillesstand7
John Frusciante (their guitar player for most of their popular albums) is one of my all-time favorite musicians. His solo stuff really, really good, in my opinion. That might be some of the reason why I have a soft spot for RHCP. I really like a lot of their stuff, but I can definitely see the bro aspect of some of it. Didn't care for this album as much though, because it was with Dave Navarro instead of JF, so I think I'll pass for that price.

I guess it would be better to ask, if I order will it have a good chance making it all the way to California? Very new to vinyl, but I would love to get my hands on that record!
