After John left the band again, I wasn't sure that I would follow them much anymore, but since Josh was his replacement, I had some hope. I was pretty impressed with their new one though, and am looking forward to what Josh can bring on their next album.And I'm also hoping for another John solo album. Supposedly he has one in the works, but he's pretty quiet about all of it. I was hoping that with him leaving the band that his solo output would pick up again, and that I'd actually get to see him solo live. Maybe someday... According to Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Frusciante has over 300 songs to choose from for his next solo record and is currently in the studio recording... but yes its very hush hush. And ill say it again (and until the day it happens) but if anyones discography needs a repress its John Frusciantes. I finally bit the bullet and forked out £120 for Shadows Collide... fuckin insane. Luckily, there's only one of his LPs that I didn't buy when you could get them for ~$15. I would love to get Inside of Emptiness (the only one I don't have), but as for now, I haven't been willing to pay what they usually go for ($150-200). Someday... Someday... i was in a touring band when they were released and i had less than nothing in mt pockets. I missed out on a few purchases in those years. To Record Only Water is my favorite album of all time...I'd kill to have this pressed! And Shadows Collide is probably my Holy Grail of vinyl...they're not terribly hard to come by, but I just can't spend what they go for. Perhaps one day. I love that album.
