seangj
yeah that was a bit bogus. so total $24 + 7.64 = $31.64. Hopefully the daytrotter subscription is worth it. I hope so too. It would be great if they do a Thrice/David Bazan split in the future. That would make it worth while.
jhulud
Any update on this thing? I want to see what a $35 LP looks like.
steviex2shoes
Well a $35 record from daytrotter looks like a full color jacket and a 180 gram record in a white sleeve.
yocaseycasey
Anybody pissed they purchased this? I'll take it. Been digging on The Lumineers lately.
jhulud
I am still waiting on my damn copy! And I was one of the first to bitch and moan about it!

apirk
So it looks like the Iron & Wine/low anthem one they sold for 19.99.
thewmatic
Been digging on The Lumineers lately. I mean technically you were buying the subscription and the vinyl was free. If you bought it just for the vinyl then of course it wouldn't be worth it. There are some solid sessions in the archives. I've been a member for a couple years. oojavaguru
Dawes/Justin Townes Earle split 12" went up today as #3 in the series: http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/daytrotter-store/dawes-justin-townes-earle/backstage/vinyl/ZZZ012328.html The third record in the NEW Daytrotter Presents vinyl series features two of Daytrotter's oldest friends. Dawes and Justin Townes Earle have been stopping by the Horseshack for years, going back to when we first opened the doors. Since then, they've returned numerous times for additional memorable session performances and they've even come out on the road with us to play some cold barns and one stormy, hot one on the Fourth of July. The Dawes side of the split will showcase the band's latest session, recorded at Asheville's Echo Mountain Studio, where the band is currently recording their follow-up to their incredibly spirited sophomore album, "Nothing Is Wrong." Earle, one of the preeminent young talents in the world, presents five songs from his first ever appearance on Daytrotter on Side B. All nice songs are stunners and it's about time they were pressed into wax and made available for vinyl shelves everywhere. It's another instant classic - to go along with the Civil Wars/Lumineers and Delta Spirit/Doc Watson releases that started the series, but act fast: the 180-gram, split 12" vinyl is ONLY AVAILABLE FOR 14 DAYS!! The record is available for FREE to anyone purchasing a new annual Daytrotter membership for themselves or for a friend (shipping not included). To be clear, if you're already a member, you can get this release by purchasing a gift membership - you get the vinyl, and your friend gets a year of Daytrotter. But reserve your copy by October 3rd, because we will only press as many as are pre-ordered; these will be extremely limited edition, collectible items. Thanks for the support, and enjoy! -Mr. Daytrotter Dawes (Side A) 1. Coming Back To A Man 2. So Well 3. Rest Easy 4. The Way You Laugh Justin Townes Earle (Side 1. They Killed John Henry 2. Ain't Waitin' 3. Mama's Eyes 4. Can't Hardly Wait 5. Lone Pine Hil

janer05
Thanks so much for posting this! Totally regretted missing out on this the first time around. With the membership discount it's still cheaper than I was bidding on eBay a few weeks ago. I've been spending way too much lately... But can't bear the thought of missing this again. apirk
Would be cool if they actually started sending these out. Still haven't gotten the Dawes split or Lucero split.
ClaudeHenrySmmoott
Would be cool if they actually started sending these out. Still haven't gotten the Dawes split or Lucero split. It's definitely slow going. To give you an idea of how long it takes - I ordered the Doc Watson/Delta Spirit on 7/20/12 and it arrived on 10/26/12. So, going by that, I wouldn't expect the others until after the new year.
apirk
I emailed them last week and they said the Dawes split would ship next week.
ClaudeHenrySmmoott
I hope so. They told me that a couple of times when I was waiting on the Doc Watson one. So, don't hold your breath. I love the releases they are doing and I think they look and sound great. But they don't do a very good job communiceting with their customers. jerseypride
If anyone is still looking for the Lumineers/Civil Wars split, you can get it from the Lumineers' webstore for $20. Not cheap, but cheaper than what Daytrotter was charging: http://thelumineers....s.spinshop.com/
selfreliable
I hope that they mail the Justin Townes Earle one out next week, I keep anxiously checking the mail every day hoping it is there. I still wish that it was both his sessions on a side and not split between him and Dawes.
