Rip
Oh dude it's so good. My favorite behind There Will Be Blood. Coincidently the same guy who did the soundtrack for this also did the soundtrack for TWBB.
vinylmaus
Movie wasn't that great. Superb acting....but PTA forces us to think about the movie too much without giving us almost any guidance. TWBB was much better...because it was more focused on 1 character. In this movie, more than one character and you really have to think hard about each person's relationships with one another and their motives etc etc. B-
Rip
you really have to think hard about each person's relationships with one another and their motives etc etc. I'm pretty sure that was the point. I wasn't expecting PTA to spoon feed me every little detail and I'm glad he didn't. I love movies where they really make you think.
timsimmons
They need to press There Will Be Blood.
kk-downing
While I was watching this, I was wondering if the soundtrack would be pressed. Pretty cool stuff.

Coincidently the same guy who did the soundtrack for this also did the soundtrack for TWBB. That "same guy" is Jonny Greenwood. Also known for being in a little band called "Radiohead." This soundtrack is great. There WIll Be Blood is my favorite movie. Can't wait to see this one.

brandon260
Fantastic film. In my top 5 this year.
openupyourskull
So happy this is gtting relased on vinyl. I've always crossed my fingers that someday there would be more of Jonny's soundtracks pressed (except Bodysong, since that's already been done) so this gives me hope that there's more to come... There Will Be Blood especially.
000000
i'm all for movies that really make you think, and the acting in this was incredible, but for some reason I just didn't enjoy it as a whole.

Rip
Forgot to mention that I actually got mine about a week ago from NoneSuch. Came in great condition and I absolutely love the artwork. The soundtrack is a lot more beautiful than I remember, so I am very pleased with this release. Here's a picture:

brandon260
Does anyone know if the LP version that comes with the CD is available only from Nonesuch? How about Amazon? My Amazon copy had the CD. I think its just standard for all of them.
openupyourskull
Pretty sure Nonesuch is a little bit cheaper overall, though. Cost $27 shipped compared to the $30 and change from Amazon.

Which is exactly why I ordered from NoneSuch, haha. Plus I got a download code for it as soon as I ordered.
brandon260
Just spun my copy. First time listening divorced from the film. Really great stuff. Not really related, but I would LOVE for the score to Beasts of the Southern Wild to get pressed.
