derby625
I'm counting this as Reissue/Repress and using the Discogs guidelines for each. Represses are exactly the same as the original including catalog and matrix numbers and done within 18-24 months of the original release Reissues can be an album never before available on vinyl, new color of vinyl, or includes bonus tracks
timsimmons
The Disintegration Loops box is something else too.
jerseydave77
I opt not to participate in this. I find it silly for a label that has put out a bunch of reissues this year to post a poll where their releases will surely be trumpeted as "Best of the Year". If this thread was posted by an independent member I'd have no issue but this smacks of self-aggrandizing. tokimedo
jerseydave77
While we're at it, I nominate myself as member of the year. I'll run the poll. tokimedo

If this thread was posted by an independent member I'd have no issue but this smacks of self-aggrandizing. Well then. What an appropriate time for me to swoop in and suck SRC's D. I guess I get why some people don't like them, but it's impossible for me to deny what a bang-up job they've done with their reissues/represses. Everything of theirs listed below was a record I was dying to have in my collection from jump about 5 years ago, and they all sound and look great. 1. Quicksand (Easy #1 considering it was ripped from the hands of RJ who had sucked it down into his shit vortex of failure) 2. Moneen 3. Deftones 4. Staring Back 5. Park - It Won't Snow
almightyseancore
the only represses ive heard this year were: at the drive in - vaya at the drive in - in/casino/out smashing pumpkins - pisces iscariot they were done wonderfully. which i got a hold of some of those pedro the lion represses but this year wasn't really my year for spending a ton of money. also missed out on the park and quicksand represses. i'm sure they were great. topher
Obviously, Weezer - Blue Album (MFSL) and Smashing Pumpkins - Pisces Iscariot are gonna be up there. I think the Incubus re-issues get an honorable mention, but I've heard the quality is average.
kjkenney
2. Moneen 3. Deftones idk how I forgot about Moneen! yes that was a really really good one...neither Moneen nor Deftones were done by SRC and Deftones stuff was all this time last year when they came out. midnightcity
Thanks everyone. Results are being tallied. Also, it should be mentioned, I'm not responsible for the reissues. The editorial side I'm building won't be connected to record production in any way. More on this next year tho.
