Nice. I didn't really get to use them too much, since the established web was around when I really started using computers.

 

I did use IRC a lot for a long time, which could be sorta close I guess.

When hosting, we had a separate phone line so people could dial into the BBS with their modem.

I want to say something like IRC sort of existed during the tail end of that era, but you needed to be able to operate off a command line.

brings back memories

Commodore-64C-with-1541-II-floppy-drive.

I started on a Commodore Vic 20 with dual cassette tape drives ( one read, one write) then went to a Commodore 64 skipped the 64 C and went to a Commodore 128 and then a Commodore Colt (the IBM compatible one).

I remember when we upgraded the 64 with a 128 K Ram cartridge haha.
