jerseydave77
Thanks for the kind words - I, like all the parents here, have that paternal pride that always makes you blush from a compliment. Dashiel loves old school NY style hard core. His newest fav is The Mob's "Step Forward" - everytime it hits the "Busted!!!" breakdown I grab him in the air for tickles then he dances hard. Guest
Can I ask how exactly you pronounce his name? I hate to be that person, but yeah, he has a cool name.
jerseydave77
Dash - el but then put it together. It's like the author Dahiell Hammett but Ieft of the 2nd L since his middle name starts with an L (Dashiel Liam) - three in a row looked weird on paper. bigbruise
I'm sure he just goes by Dash, and will in school. Cool name/nickname

almightyseancore
it's great to turn your kids on to good music. mine can call out most stuff they hear. they really dig flaming lips and modest mouse. and 5 year old is pretty in love with the aquabats, too. jerseydave77
Sean, We go from HC to Kids Stuff on a song by song basis. He listens to classical with my wife. I'm trying to vary it up. He's into putting the records on himself which turns into the occasional fight since my harder to find stuff shouldn't be touched by such tiny hands (That Mob 7" for instance is a great example). He likes Madness and the Pogues too. Stuff with lots of instruments are always a good idea. I think that's why I find his new YOT phase so odd. Guest
he looks just like me when i was a little guy. but it seems like he's already on pace to be way cooler than me.
jerseydave77
Ry - how do you rebel against a punk dad? Become a khaki-clad - frat-loving - college republican of course. I fear I started him on this stuff way to early.
