I always feel like I'm getting beat by software of some sorts. i bid with like 5 second left and it never shows that mine went in...just closes and tells me I'm a loser.. Story of my life It's because someone's max bid was placed placed before you even bid, and it was higher to begin with. Automatically negates your bid and just raises the item's price. If it's an item I eagerly desire at that moment in time, I will throw on $25 to $50 to the current price giving the opposing person no time to rebuttal (whether it be the seller on their fake account.) I keep an extra tab open but only to check popsike and see what the cheapest price something has sold for in the past couple years.
