That Son of Sam album rules. It did get pressed, I bought it from someone on here a year or two ago.
almightyseancore
apparently they put out a second album in 08 as well, but with a different singer.
slinch
Honestly, I'd say both of those were below average. I can understand people liking them for the names in the liner notes, but hardly for the music.
KennyFuckingPowers
Just got a copy of AOD on black in today. Pretty pumped on it. Already had it on grey but I love black LPs
deletedunknown
Son of Sam was fun, I just revisited it after several years this past October. I haven't liked AFI's output after Sing the Sorrow at all. I knew I wouldn't warm up to decemberunderground after I heard the first single and immediately thought of Green Day. I'm not sure why, but I'm curious what this album will sound like.
kriss
Cexcells sounded like super weak VNV nation. bad EBM thatvwas five years out of date. I legit liked Sing The Sorrow, but Black Sails just slays. So does that Son of Sam record. Heard it for years and finally found a copy a few years ago for just a few bucks. steventangent
I immediately like it more than the last two albums. It actually kind of makes me think of a mid tempo, 90s era NIN.
TFP
I think it kind of sounds like radio rock junk. . I kind of like it anyway.
cesar11
not bad. has a NIN feel to it.
roadmonkey
The verses sound like he's trying to cover Defones - Digital Bath. It's definitely different AFI, and really not too bad, but I've been burnt by that phrase before
fourfourtwo
I don't really like the new song. Sounds like something Korn would do.
cannonball
Yeah definitely has a NIN vibe to me as well. Not bad!
TFP
I don't really like the new song. Sounds like something Korn would do. Yeah, I know right? That's kind of what I feel too. I can definitely hear NIN like others, but there are just certain parts that stick out.
slinch
So the new album is called Burials, due out October 22nd. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/afis-davey-havok-talks-maximalist-new-album-20130723
sacredheart
I dont care for the verses but the music in the chorus is alright. I dont care for the weak lyrics that are in it though. With people throwing around Deftones, NIN, and Korn, I knew I wouldnt really care for it at all though.

steventangent
I haven't actually heard them in years, and one of the songs from that Got The Life album was on the radio the other day. Jumpin' Jesus on a fuckin' pogo stick, that band is somehow worse than I even remembered them.
