dreamover
Last year our good friend David gathered a small crew of people and wandered out into the woods of Bastrop, Texas to make a movie called Prince Avalanche. He then asked us to team up with our other good friend who is also named David to write the musical score. So we set up a makeshift recording studio in Munaf's living room and did just that. Over the course of a few weeks we wrote and recorded a pretty good amount of new music, and we're happy to announce that Temporary Residence will be releasing it all as a soundtrack album on August 6th. The movie itself comes out on August 9th, and we think you'll like it. It's funny and sad and odd and beautiful and we're honored to be a part of it. 000000
They have a way with soundtracks. The Friday Night Lights soundtrack is impeccable, and I haven't even seen the movie. Will absolutely be checking this out.
deletedunknown
I wonder if this will even get a vinyl release. Curious to hear some of it. The last album didn't really move me, and the packaging actually turned me away from buying the vinyl since it added so much extra cost. Never thought I'd be riveted by a TV series about small town football. Except friday night lights isn't really a TV series about small town football, it's just a background. Great show. esbe

Despite the packaging this was still ridiculously cheap for a 3xLP. I really don't understand how TRL makes a profit on some of their stuff. It's only a 2xLP with an etched d-side. Either way, I still think the price was fairly reasonable considering the elaborate packaging.
