500Homeruns
finally got a chance to sit and listen...anybody else's copy a bit noisy or is it just mine? That's not good to hear.
bossdj26
yah, the sound quality just seems to be kind of crappy in general...it's listenable but doesn't sound like it was mastered for vinyl ...i could have gotten a dud though...can anybody else confirm? Dusted_By_Space
I thought my copy played and sounded great. Resolutions on the other hand i think sounds pretty shitty. But ive not noticed any issues with Devour.
GradedOnACurve
Put on my brown copy of Devour and it just sounds flat. Not noisy but just lacks depth, and thats really disappointing because it is a 2xLP. I wish Rise would use Pirates Press again. I'm pretty sure they use Rainbo in California and they press the bad records for Epitaph and I'm pretty sure they pressed the new Balance And Composure LP. They have pressed good records before but damn. Not sure if its someone who is not making good cuts of records, or bad LP mastering, or what... failurebytopher
Hey everyone, new to the boards! Sorry to dig up such an old thread, but I'm seeing Dave on Sunday in Philly and haven't picked up a copy of Devour yet. I'm wondering if anyone has seen him on this tour and remembers what variants he had and what prices are like at the merch table. The cream and the brown are still on his webstore, but I'm holding out hope I can get one cheaper without having to pay shipping/possibly getting one signed. Thanks! I saw him a few weeks ago in Salt Lake City. If I remember right, Devour was $20 or $25. I already had a copy, so I didn't inquire about variants available. But, I did get my copy signed after the show. Hope this helps.
rue
Hear it's a bit random as sealed on merch desk, clear, black or grey?
glass realms
The hype sticker on the shrink wrap should say what color the vinyl is.
Snaggle Von Swift
I am so excited for this show on Sunday Dave Hause @hausedave Apr 2 I can't wait to play this Philly show on Sunday. jetsfan4ever80
I plan on going to the show in New Brunswick tomorrow. I missed his show at the Lanes, so this will make up for that. I can't believe it, but this will be my first show at Court Tavern.

xxmartinxx
For what it's worth, the LP sounds fine to me (at least on my system).
Snaggle Von Swift
http://merchnow.com/products/178439/devour-orange-lp Wonder why it's cheaper than the other two variants still available in the store.
Snaggle Von Swift
Was also able to grab a brown http://merchnow.com/products/164922/devour-brown-lp-memorial did these even ever sell out? at /200 I would have hoped so..
elmark
i think it's an insult to the early buyers of the 'limited' brown vinyl (it was only made available in an expensive pre-order package) that this is put up even cheaper than it was in the first place. I can understand that a few brown stock copies are put online, but why cheaper than other colors?
sacredheart
I'm guessing because they have been sitting on these for 8 months, they didnt sell like they expected, the album didnt get the same reaction from people as his first one did have all had a hand in this being sold for less now. It is a shame, it is a good album, but I still find myself going to Resolutions more than Devour. David Loyd
Snaggle Von Swift
Looks like there are only 2 copies left on the orange. I would highly doubt it's a repress since the first pressing didn't do so well.. maybe a record release variant that didn't happen as planned? tittus
Would love to know a bit more about this. Edit- might just be a cart limit. Looks like there's only one grey available.
Bender
I'm curious on the details on the orange version. I ordered one along with the Rise pressing of Resolutions (finally). I'm a sucker for orange vinyl.
benjo09
Any chance any one picked up a spare orange?
bossdj26
I picked up the orange resolutions and clear retail devour a couple weeks ago. My clear copy of devour sounds 10x better than my cream. Strange. Some of that first run might have had a good amount of duds in them
