noalarmplanet
Nope...got it for a buck somewhere...I can't remember where exactly I would give my right arm for a pressing of all of the songs from A Muppet Christmas Carol. It is my favorite Christmas movie and probably contains the best Ebenezer Scrooge performance of all time from Michael Caine. When Belle sings that song "The Love Is Gone" and old Scrooge is crying and singing right beside her but he can't actually talk to her...damn...I lose it every time. I fucking love that movie Muppet Christmas Carol is the absolute best version. I set out to see every single incarnation of a Christmas Carol and without a doubt Muppet Christmas Carol is the pinnacle of that story. Have an upvote good sir! Metal Mike
Its just so awful. Not trolling. Just saying. I guess you'll be getting no presents for Christmas! David Loyd
David Loyd
I'm all over christmas albums! Growing up, for thanksgiving and christmas dinner at my grandparents house, they always put christmas albums on as we ate. Half price books, antique stores, thrift shops always have them real cheap. Aside from Charlie Brown, Burl Ives, Andy WIlliams, Frank Sinatra should all be must owns. There were some great compilations put out every year by Firestone. Looking forward to this one this year http://www.amazon.com/It-Feels-Like-Christmas-Time/dp/B00F0MNC80/ref=ntt_mus_ep_dpi_2 Found this last year, which I guess is kind of rare? Copies show up on ebay from time to time, but it's kind of cool. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gift_Wrapped_Vol._II Vey cool find. I found vol 1 on discogs last night for a decent price. No luck with Vol 2 though.
Metal Mike
I don't know if they have anything coming this year (y'all must have been bad), but ANGRY SNOWMANS! http://angrysnowmans.bandcamp.com/ I'd never heard of this, but it's fucking great! thomasj182
If you are not spinning this, you're doing something wrong. It's not a Christmas if I haven't listened to this. Just bought this on a whim because I love xmas music, never heard it before. Glad I did! Any other recommendations similar to this?
MatBishop3000
Vey cool find. I found vol 1 on discogs last night for a decent price. No luck with Vol 2 though. Only place you're gonna get it right now is eBay. Just got mine in the mail.
nick6ten
Very cool find. I found vol 1 on discogs last night for a decent price. No luck with Vol 2 though. I need to get vol. 1, I also saw it on discogs, and ebay last night. Nothing is going to beat finding vol. 2 for $3.99 new last year. I paid $16 total which I thought was a very fair price for a sealed copy. Supposed to be one red one green disc. Not to mention the artists involved are pretty awesome. Can't wait to listen to it. lackofwill
Got this at a thrift shop, probably my favorite at Christmas album almost reminds me of Streetlight Manifesto

gutzonborglum
Now I know this isn't on vinyl, but c'mon! It's GB! Probably the most egocentric, douchey, pompous sonofabitch there ever was, but man, could he sing a song. gutzonborglum
I didn't even know this existed. I will have to get. It won't disappoint. I don't think I could ever hang out with Garth Brooks anywhere, but I am an unabashed fan. I don't like modern country music, but I love Garth Brooks. Guest Justin Maheiny
Not sure if this is a Christmas song but I love Christmas and the back door so I think it's appropriate. But if you prefer your Christmas' funky, both James Brown & Booker T. & the MGs have pretty good Christmas albums.
vinylfilmaholic
Would honestly rather get a classic pressing of "Charlie Brown Christmas" than the green one but I just might have to this year. :-\
burdenx
I listen to this a lot around Christmas: http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Stash-Christmas-Album/release/2471191 A fantastic blues and jazz Christmas album and the only place to get some of those Louis Armstrong songs on vinyl. As far as I'm concerned, nobody does Christmas music better than Louis.
somethingvinyl
Might be somewhat sentimental to me, but "Christmas In New Orleans" is one of my all time favorites.
jipc
Not on vinyl, unfortunately. But Cerys Matthews released this collection off Xmas songs last year... www.discogs.com/Cerys-Matthews-Baby-Its-Cold-Outside/master/589244

Found an OG press of Charlie Brown Christmas still sealed for $10 though.
nick6ten
Today I scored copies of: Jingle Bell Jazz (http://www.discogs.com/Various-Jingle-Bell-Jazz/release/2468067) Star Wars - Christmas In The Stars (http://www.discogs.com/Meco-Christmas-In-The-Stars-Star-Wars-Christmas-Album/release/489149) How The Grinch Stole Christmas (http://www.discogs.com/Dr-Seuss-How-The-Grinch-Stole-Christmas/release/1764993) This tiny store also had two used copies of Charlie Brown Christmas for $4 or $
nick6ten
Also, I guess this is as good of a place as any other, I'm in a punk rock christmas band that plays once a year. It's a lot of fun.

I had that album as a kid and totally forgot that it existed until this post of yours. Thanks.
