If I have a complaint, I guess it's that I can't make out what the lyrics are half the time. I just wish he sang a little more clearly and/or didn't distort the vocals so much.

This is exactly why I like the album. I was afraid it was going to be a straight up pop album, like something Katy Perry would put out, and it turned out to be way more subtle. Thankfully.

I've listened through twice today and it's great. I definitely love how cohesive it is. It's dense, too. I noticed so many more little flares and intricacies the second time through, I can't wait to see what else is in there.

It's one of my favorite hip-hop albums and I didn't own it yet... so I took the bait and overpaid because it just looks too pretty for me to pass on.

Is there a link to preorder anywhere yet? I don't see anything about it on their website or XL's.

The 1975 is decent. The music is fun. They're good live... but the lead singer is maybe the least likeable person I've ever watched on a stage. He comes off as such a huge douchebag (and probably is). So I hope they aren't a thing, because fuck that guy. On the music side, I kind of stopped listening to 1989 for whatever reason. Maybe it's because it's more of a pop album so it just doesn't have the staying power of something like Red or Speak Now. Or maybe I just listen to too much music and need to go back to it. Not sure yet.

Watched the NO and Sea episodes last night... I think In The Clear might be one of my favorites on the album after watching that episode. I hadn't been sure about picking up the record, but probably will after giving it some time and loving the show. I've tried two days in a row to get good on-field Fenway seats through presales and come up empty... another presale today, so we'll see how it goes. Really jealous of the shows that get Gary Clark Jr, though.

I haven't really been blown away by these guys in a while, so I'm gonna wait to hear the album before buying... but I am excited/hopeful that it will be a good one.

Yeah the app is almost always the way to go. Today was the first time I had trouble with it.

Ticketmaster has been insanely slow all day. The iPhone app keeps crashing on me. The mobile site is slow, etc... I was curious to see what kind of seats I could pull up, but realistically I shouldn't be dropping $150 to see her for a third time so it's no big deal.

I can't believe there isn't a VIP level with a meet and greet... when I saw one was at practically $500 I assumed you'd at least get a picture with her. (Not that I would've bought one if that were true.... but maybe)

I'm going to Target today after work for Halloween costume stuff... if they have those 1989 cover art t-shirts I might have to buy one...

Every big artist has been streaming their album a week in advance, to help prevent downloads of leaks among other reasons, over the last year or two. Weezer, Jason Aldean and TI are recent ones on iTunes, and Prince put his 2 new albums up for streaming a week early on Spotify. It's the new standard.

It's going to be the full album stream. We are a week out, releasing 1 new track would be pointless.

I didn't go for any of the reissues last year... probably going to grab one of these once they pop up on a better site.

Maybe a dumb question or maybe I missed something in an email... but I opened my Vault package and it only has the White Stripes LP and the flag. No Dead Weather 7". I'm assuming that's a mistake..? (Unless they shipped separately..?) And if I email them, there's no way to prove I didn't get it and I'm not just some jerk trying to get a second one for free... so I'm not really sure how to handle this. Anyone have any insight?
