4LP is huge... I'd imagine it's 2LP album and 2LP instrumentals. Or maybe they stretch it to 3 and it has some sort of bonus LP like Seven's Travels did. Curious to see what it is.

I saw it had leaked but didn't get around to listening to it because my expectations were pretty low... That's good to hear though. I'll definitely have to check it out. Might convince me to order it.

For anyone who listened to the album leak a month ago, is it exactly the same as the Sub Pop stream?

First listen I thought the album was solid, not my favorite but definitely not his worst... But I've listened several more time over the last 30 hours or so and I really really like it. I think it's way better than Tape Deck Heart, though admittedly I think that's his worst album. And I don't think anything will be as good as Love Ire And Song or England Keep My Bones, but those are near impossible standards to hold this album to.

I agree with Get Away, it's definitely a little overdone... but I don't really see it with Leave A Trace. We'll have to wait and see how the rest sounds, I guess. I'd expect them to be going for a "bigger" sound and am totally fine with it. I don't want the same album twice... But I also don't want it to go over the top like Get Away kinda does.

I shouldve but no... None of them were the same as the shirt online. I'm sure pictures will pop up soon. They were $25 I think. A few were made to look like parts of Fenway (like the scoreboard or the sign behind home) and some were more plain and just said Boston and had shamrocks and all that fun stuff.

Just went down there. The poster is kind of lame, in my opinion. It's orange and of like a big scorpion or something. I was hoping for something more Boston-y. Allegedly the show will have a different poster, so I'm hoping that one is better. The shirts are awesome, though. There must've been at least 5 Fenway/Boston-specific shirts and most of them looked really great.

I've listened a couple times now and I like it a lot, but for me it's Bloom > Teen Dream > Depression Cherry. (I don't think I've listened to any of the earlier music.)

Good album, but it didn't blow me away... It's too long and I got a little bored. I still need to listen to it more, and liked it enough that I'll probably grab the record once it comes out.

I've been waiting for a Boston show since they first announced dates earlier this year, but still nothing... Definitely going once one happens, I just hope it's soon.

I found Twin Shadow - Eclipse in the sale bin yesterday. $10 for one of my favorite albums of the year... I don't check regularly enough to know if that is new to being on sale or not, though.

Holy shit that's awesome. I've had tickets to Boston since the day they went on sale... Question: I've never bought a record at a show. How big of a pain in the ass is it to carry around the whole time? Like I imagine trying to keep the record in good shape while dancing to Bad Rabbits for an hour is not easy and probably will be annoying...??

I think Tape Deck Heart was his first album with a bunch of forgettable songs. Before that I could shuffle his whole discography and never skip a track. But not everyone has to feel that way, obviously. I agree that $30 for normal black vinyl is a stretch. I was hoping there would be some sort of interesting preorder, whether it be a colored variant or a bunch of signed copies or something, but oh well. I'll wait til I see it in a store somewhere for cheaper.

100% agree. He is without a doubt my favorite person to listen to over the last 5 or 6 years. He can basically do no wrong. With that said, I think The Next Storm is a little bit boring. It's good, but I liked the first new song, Get Better, a lot more.
