I'm seeing them tonight... for the 6th time... still really excited, though. Hoping some of the new songs really come to life.

Grabbed a signed copy a few days ago when they tweeted about it... Really really great album. One of my favorite new bands of the last year or so.

I think the Jets just got emotionally murdered... they wont be able to come back from how devastatingly close they were tonight. Not that they really had a shot in the series in the first place. Great game, though.

I'll wait up until this hockey game ends, but that's probably it... anyone else watching?

I've got about 12 Heady Toppers in the fridge and I can't decide if I want to crack one open and commit to waiting for this or just go to bed... Tough decisions.

Anyone have any idea where to find one of the limited orange copies? I preordered from BullMoose on October 15th right when this thread went up, but I had to change my credit card before they had tried to charge it in February... So apparently I'm just out of luck, which is dumb but whatever. (I've always had good experiences with them but was really disappointed with how they dealt with this.) If someone has some secret way to get one for something close to normal price, I'd appreciate it.

Just got home and knew things weren't going to go well when the box this was shipped in was almost bent in half... Sure enough the jacket was beat to all hell and the record was literally snapped in half. Thanks, Carpark Records! Am I alone or are a lot of these messed up?

The whole think leaked earlier this week (2 months early... ouch) and is pretty good. Not my favorite of theirs, but soid. I'm curious to see how the "different artwork" thing works out.

You might be the only person who likes that one the best... Not trying to be mean, I just really don't know anyone who prefers D&A to the first two albums. The new song is awesome. I thought Flamingo sounded too much like Killers b-sides that weren't good enough to be on their albums. It was just kinda boring... but taking things in a different direction like Can't Deny My Love is refreshing. I'm excited to hear the rest.

Agreed. I keep a running list starting Jan 1st every year. Kendrick is #1 right now. As long as people aren't going too overboard and recognizing that there's no way to tell what other awesome albums will come out this year and maybe be better than this (like Kanye), it's all in good fun. (So saying it's the album of the decade miiight be a little too far.)

It's better than I was expecting it to be... There's a few duds, and I feel like 14 tracks is about 4 tracks too many for a Smallpools album. Most of the songs I really like were on the EP though, so it's not really doing a whole lot for me.

Having not been a fan before, and only listening to Confess a couple times over the last week or two... This album blows me away. It's awesome. Maybe my favorite of the year so far... definitely top 3. Really excited to see him/them live in 2 weeks.

Curious to see how much it will cost... but probably won't get one regardless.

It's always really interesting to see how people who have been listening to a band feel differently than people who are new to them. My friend was obsessed with Shrines and when this new one came out he suggested I listen to them. So I listened to both Shrines and Another Eternity for the first time on the same day, back to back.... and I think Another Eternity is way better. It's weird to see so many bad reviews. I'm picking up that clear variant for sure.

The Rolling Stone article did make me slightly more okay with the idea of it... minus the U2 reference. If this sounds like Bob Dylan had a baby with post-2000 U2 then it will be the worst album of the year (and also sell a billion copies.)

What are the odds this comes out before we get Black Messiah?

As a big fan of the first two... I'm terrified at how this album will sound.

Excited to see what this sounds like, but really I just wish it was a new Killers albums. (And I'm sure there will be a vinyl release at some point. This isn't the only album with a thread in here that doesn't have a vinyl pre-order up yet.)

Yeah I feel similarly... The idea of Ghostface over live jazzy instrumentals sounds so awesome, and on some songs it is... but the majority of the music/instrumentals are kind of bland and underwhelming.

You guys are crazy... I think Lifted Up (1985) is way better than Where The Sky Hangs... I like both, but the first one is way more fun and interesting.

Yup, I just got an email from Amazon saying March 10th.

Having never listened to Toro before this album, I really liked it... it was a little weird, but good. Then I went back and listened through the old stuff, and think I like this new one more.
