Why would you release the closing track of your album? Especially Circa of all bands. Is the album listening experience not sacred anymore?

Got my Predator this morning. Not super impressed with the quality of the images on the back and gatefold. I'll listen later to comment on the sound quality.

What's up with the lack of original art on releases lately?

I'm really surprised more flippers don't just open physical stores like this douchenozzle
Basically what that Limited to One store is in NYC. Been advertised all over the place here. Figured it would be slightly higher prices but once I saw a copy of Nothing's Poshlost sealed for $40-something, Brand New records for $200-$400, and sealed VMP records for significantly higher prices, I noped the hell out of there (wish I had better examples off the top of my head). The sealed stuff pissed me off because it made their intentions pretty clear. You can find most of the stuff on Discogs for cheaper, but maybe it's just that I don't cave into instant gratification like others. You'll probably find the Australian variant of this on their shelves for $90 the day they get it in. Almost sold stuff to the guy too, but now I'm glad we couldn't reach an agreement.
Or maybe it's just me cause most people seem to think the prices are pretty fair. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Perhaps the nicest part of this release is that there is a clear balance between Jesse's and Vin's writing. I'm willing to bet that most of the "Deja sounding" songs were Jesse's, while the darker songs and the interludes are most likely Vin's brainchildren. Meanwhile, songs like Same Logic/Teeth and 137 seem to be a nice mix of both of their styles.

Well I guess I'm eating my words. But this is one of the few times that I'm fine with being wrong. Reactivated my membership. Honestly, even more excited about the cover. It's the reason I put down the RSD reissue a few years back. And black would have been nice, but the variants are pretty.

And I finally listened! I do wish it had more aggression (I am one of the ones that loves Daisy), but it is still excellent all around. Love Waste and 137 especially.

I still haven't listened to this yet. It's been painful to hold off, Been waiting on the ability to get an hour alone but my weekend was pretty busy. Looking forward to that time tomorrow. Happy to see that people are so pleased with it though.

There are two possible outcomes to this: lots of order cancellations or it's going to be about as rare as OKNOTOK. If this is really THAT limited, this link has had it available for much too long.

We all have a little Kess in us.
EDIT: Pretty sure he was being sarcastic, guys.

I'm also guessing there were only 500 up on Tuesday. 5000 wouldn't have sold so fast. Not possible with all the issues. If you ordered the $45 sketchy version you're getting a CD.

Jeez, VC is being slower for me right now than the checkout page was for this. To be fair, it doesn't say "Sold Out." And I'll be damned if there isn't a tour press. But we shall see.

At this point, I'm pretty sure Brand New is done with their fanbase. They hate the public eye and the "worship" they receive. And so be it; but pretty much any popular band has the same thing going on with their fans. It comes with the territory. But it's become such a blatant marketing scheme these last few years. It's one thing to continue to ignore it, but to capitalize on it is well... RSD Deja, 10-year-old demos on cassette, those stupid Halloween masks, announcing a breakup date two years in advance, the list goes on. It's gimmicky shit. And this caps it all off. $45 for "Fifth Album" on VERY LIMITED vinyl. Only thing worse than the gimmicks are the fans that fall for it.
Only thing worse than the fans that fall for it is that I'm one of them...

The laugh at the end of No Control continues to creep me the fuck out. So unsettling.
