  1. Seems like you're doing it right. I use a good amount of salt & pepper on the steak then sear it in a hot cast iron skillet with butter and reserved bacon fat. Then I throw in some fresh smashed garlic and a few sprigs of thyme while it's cooking. It adds a nice flavor to the crust. I leave out the baking part and baste the steak in butter on the stove top while I wait for that nice crust to brown before flipping. If you find that it lacks seasoning, just add a pinch of salt at the end. The only time I sear and bake meats is if it is a really thick cut, otherwise I leave out the baking part. Just easier for me to gauge the doneness of the meat that way.
  2. BTW - Good morning everyone and HAPPY FUCKING FRIDAY!!!! It's already been a strange morning with my cats going crazy and waking me up at 5:30, and the electricity was out while trying to get ready for work so I look like shit today. Hope everyone else's morning is going much better.
  3. Salvia is some crazy shit. I smoked it once years ago just to try it. Never again..... it almost made me vomit.
  4. My copy of SILYAYD sounds fine. Great? No. Terrible? No. Best answer.
  5. Whoah. I didn't know it was the Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang guy. That movie is the BEST. I've never seen Monster Squad either. I'll be playing catch up for awhile. Baseball takes up most of my nights these days, but I'll get to all of them.
  6. I also think the beginning scene is to show that there have always been earthquakes in that area. Which is kind of weird, because Texas doesn't get too many earthquakes. 2nd episode was really really good. I like where this season is headed.
  7. Loved House of the Devil and Cooties. Both solid flicks. Can't believe I've never seen House of the Devil. They did a great job making it seem as though it was set in the 80s. I feel like it could have been a little more intense, and could of had a little more back story, but it was still good. Cooties was just as great as I thought it would be. I'll be watching that one many times I'm sure.
  8. I'm a little behind, but watched Re-Animator on Sunday. Looking forward to catching up tonight.
  9. Thanks! Somehow I missed out on that 7" and wanted to grab Those Days Are Gone for my secret santa. Glad these are finally available.
  10. I'm really excited to watch Re-Animator tonight since I've never since it, and comedy horror is my favorite.
  11. The Houses October Built make me never want to go to a Haunted House ever again. That's some scary shit.
  12. What fresh hell is this?

  13. The link for the Calendar is below. There is a thread for it here too. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/106394-vcs-30-days-of-fright-film-festival-ii/page-27
  14. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I absolutely love true crime/serial killer/urban legend type stuff. Cropsey is pretty good too. Has the same tone as Killer Legends, but a little creepier in the way the story unfolds.
  15. Gooooooood morning everyone. Got to work early so I can leave early to watch baseball. Happy Friday!! Sleep is so good. Not having money for PO's sucks. I've been having to budget hardcore the last few weeks, and missed out on a lot of PO's that I can hopefully snag later on.
  16. I do like Amber Heard a lot. Will definitely check it out this weekend.
  17. The only Mandy Lane I can find is the All Boys Love Mandy Lane with Amber Heard as the lead. Is that the right one?
  18. I plan on getting GH as well. The new visuals and set up look interesting, and I'm sure there will be a learning curve with the new guitar but that's part of the fun. Also, the setlist on GH is typically better than RB. BTW - Anyone have a Rock Band guitar dongle for the play station they would be willing to sell? I bought a guitar on amazon, but it needs the dongle to work. poopy
