  1. I gotta say...I'm tempted. Some very cool stuff in there, not to mention the music itself. Moonsorrow is a fantastic band.
  2. I read that article this morning and took a listen to Taurus. Similar but not the same. Relevant part starts about 40 seconds in Cool tune, though.
  3. This link takes you to the Deluxe Box version. I wonder if it is truly the Deluxe Box or the Anniversary Box? The Deluxe Box includes a shirt. The Anniversary Box does not.

  5. Anyone know if the CD order will be available through bandcamp? I like to order through them to get the download and to be able to access it from a computer when I want.
  6. Got shipping confirmation from Melody Supreme this morning so it looks like they are starting to ship.
  7. My order still says "processing". It's said that since Sunday.
  8. Are you looking for an anti-static brush or a cleaning brush? The D4 is more of a cleaning brush. You get the brush wet and wipe it along the record and theoretically pick up the dust on the surface before playback. These aren't really designed for serious cleaning, just for picking up surface particles prior to playing a record. They are not electrically conductive so there is no real way these dissipate static on their own. The water you add to the brush can help with static. For anti-static, try these: http://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-LP-record-clean-brush/dp/B0006VMBHI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1398099064&sr=8-5&keywords=anti-static+brush Lots of companies make this type of brush and they all look about the same. I have the Audioquest and I like it. These are conductive so you can dissipate static to some degree with these. I touch a ground post while I use this. Just don't press too hard or you'll add more static than you remove.
  9. Reckless has a solid selection assuming it is accurate. I wish I would have ordered from there instead of placing 3 separate orders, all with prices higher than Reckless. Probably would have saved $20-25 that way. Oh well.
  10. Yep, one of the death waltz LPs was in my cart when I checked out but was removed by the time I got the confirmation. Mothafucka!
  11. I've made up excuses in the past to not see these guys but if they are anywhere within a 6 hour drive from me, fuck it, I'm going. I've heard some of their shows in the past are kind of hit or miss but that's probably because they never used to tour and play whole songs live. Hopefully they are in KC, Minneapolis or Omaha.
  12. You can always just pre-order it to lock in any price drop and then cancel a few days before release date if it didn't come down far enough.
  13. Korgull is right. Insure your collection if it is valuable. You will need to maintain a list and you might have an additional premium add-on to your homeowner's insurance but it is generally small.
  14. RZA said someone has already offered $5 million https://music.yahoo.com/blogs/music-news/wanna-buy-wu-tang-clan-album-221351436.html
  15. A locked groove shouldn't take the stylus onto the label...unless the label was off center. Does the groove look like it was pressed all the way to the label? That would be strange.
  16. I use these pallets from Amazon in my storage unit. They keep stuff off the ground in case of a flood. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003SI704A/ref=ox_ya_os_product_refresh_T1 You can also buy bags of dessicant to help keep the moisture down. They make all kinds of stuff for this. Target sells some plastic storage cubes that are about 13" x 13" x 13" on the inside and they are stackable. Those would be good for storage as well. I have some at home and I love them. Very sturdy and the stacking feature is nice. I can't find a link to them so maybe they are only available in store. They come in white or blue. There may also be a black one. This probably goes without saying but you will want a climate controlled storage area with indoor access only. These will be much better protected from the elements than outdoor units.
  17. If you take the record off and move the tonearm over the platter, does it spin? If so, then it is not a weight issue and that probably also rules out any sort of height sensor. I don't really know if turntables have height or weight sensors. Maybe they do, but I have 3 turntables and none of mine have any sort of sensor on them.
  18. Never seen anything like that. The record looked fine, certainly not warped enough to cause any platter rotation problem. Does it always play one side of that record and always not play the other side? Agreed that it pretty much has to be the turntable and not the record.
  19. Fuck me. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise, but I was holding out hope. http://www.analogplanet.com/content/communication-breakdown-led-zep-catalog-cut-digital
  20. Shipping is rough to the USA, especially for insured. Might have to wait to see if this shows up at a US distro somewhere. Bummer that the band is going on hiatus.
  21. Does it come with an mp3 download? For that kind of money, it better.
