So something no one has mentioned: NC seem to be limiting this one to TWO copies per person (instead of the traditional FIVE). That's a nice change. (Too bad they're doing it with this one that got 2,000 pressed and not something like that T. Rex that only had 300 pressed, though...)

Totally agree. If these were limited to anywhere near 200 each, there's no way any of them would have lasted more than a day (much less Mr Freeze lasting into today!). If the talk of 'no purchase limits' being in place was true, the hordes of people queuing up for Mondo stuff buying multiples would have snatched up the entire 800 copies in a few hours. Just look at how many of the people who list on eBay have 3, 4 or 5 copies of each single available...

You must not be going to the right places...

The irony is that most of these limited releases are only in demand because they're limited. Probably not the case on some of the Mondo stuff since there's lots of crossover from movie fans, comic collectors, record buyers, etc but certainly true for a lot of the RSD or other "manufactured to be a collectible" vinyl you see. ::cough:: Newbury Comics ::cough::

I'd just like to point out that the seller who let the entire set of 4 go for $100 in the auction linked above is now asking $60 for just the Mr Freeze design (the only one they appear to have left).

Is there precedent for this?

I firmly believe if you buy two copies of a Mondo release you're guaranteed three variants. The math is irrefutable.

I think yours are the best out of any of the ones that were posted by people who bought them (in other words, excluding the ones on the New Fumes Facebook page).

I would guess the term "limited" will be used very loosely on this one. Especially with such a good price point, they probably want to make up for it with volume over margin.

Huh, I learned something new! I knew Rhino has rereleased Tim and Pleased To Meet Me on vinyl so I had just assumed they had rights to the earlier ones...
