Did anyone's Guardians soundtrack have a bad seam split? My vinyl ripped through the inner black sleeve and then out the spine. It's not awful but it's pretty torn up, and while I normally am not that picky this was a pricey LP in a beautiful jacket so I'm debating looking into replacement...

That chart will only make sense put in context against overall music sales. Vinyl sales may be up only slightly, but as a percentage of overall music sales - in a year when digital sales actually fell for the first time - it's probably looks a little more impressive.

Do the labels just sell their regular stuff or will there be anything special like test pressings, etc?

I don't know how much faith I'd put in the person who checked the warehouse and confirmed it's the colored vinyl. It's a little dubious that they "found" a bunch of these within days of the black vinyl release date. Not saying there's no chance it's the first pressing, just that I'd be surprised.

I'm just going to assume the obvious and say your copy of The Wall is the first Japanese pressing, mint with obi. In the unplayed condition it's in, it should fetch a couple of hundred. Also, your test pressing of The Song Remains The Same should be worth three or four hundred. Finally, the autographed copy of Elvis In Concert could go as much as $1,000 or more, what with your photographic proof of authenticity.

Reasons people are going crazy: 1. Guardians of the Galaxy was a great film. 2. It's part of the white-hot Marvel franchise. 3. Cassettes, formerly only embraced by the DIY community, are coming around and becoming trendy again (see: Cassette Store Day, Ty Segall tapes, etc). 4. It's marketed as "limited edition." 5. It's marketed as part of Record Store Day - Black Friday. 6. The music on it isn't half bad. 7. It greatly resembles a prop from the film, so beyond the music it's a nice conversation piece. 8. It's the sort of item that got non-record collectors into stores to hunt down; record collectors are competing with casual and/or non-collectors for this item. 9. It's the first cassette Disney has manufactured since the early 90s, so I'm sure there's some crazy Disney collectors who want it just for that. 10. Groot
