  1. is there a flat surface in your home that is not covered with turntables? I want to see a picture of the one you have sitting on top of the toilet.
  2. You can try reverb.com. It's basically eBay for gear. smaller audience but the fees are probablY lower. CL is probably your best bet.
  3. I think the point everyone is trying to make is that you should buy my AKG Q701s.
  4. Try getting the TT from Musician's Friend. They frequently have a 15-20% coupon offer and even if you can't apply the coupon in cart, chat with somebody and they'll typically do it for you.
  5. That is a bummer. I was surprised that they didn't introduce a 4k player alongside their current lineup rather than as a replacement. Right now the BDP-103 is still a popular choice at $500 when the competition has products in the $50 range. If they really do release the 203 at $500 MSRP versus $400 players from Sony/Samsung/Panasonic, they should get a lot of attention.
  6. Usually people will recommend to ditch the AVR, but that particular AVR is the Denon equivalent to the Marantz SR7009. It should at least be competent. I'd start with going through your Turntable setup to confirm everything is in order there.
  7. I've had my eye on the BD-103 for a whIle anyway. If the 203 ends up performing as well with the addition of 4K Bluray capability for the same price, it's a no-brainer.
  8. Looks like Oppo is positioning their new 4K Bluray player as a direct replacement for the BDP-103 with a $499 MSRP. Pretty attractive (and a little surprising) given that competing players from Sony/Samsung are still sitting around $400. https://www.google.com/amp/www.forbes.com/sites/johnarcher/2016/09/23/hands-on-with-the-oppo-udp-203-ultra-hd-blu-ray-player/amp/
  9. I could do without your elistist attitude about which advice is "best".
  10. Fixing audio with EQ is sort of like trimming your beard with a chainsaw. If a particular song isn't mixed to your liking, adjusting high/low/mid is going to change a relatively huge range of frequencies across the board. if a particular piece of gear is falling a bit short on a particular range, adjusting high/mid/low isn't likely to compensate for exactly the frequencies the gear is over/under representing. That said, all this falls under "if it sounds good to you" doctrine.
  11. I usually forget about these and miss out. Picked the Civil War steelbook in BB a few days ago.
  12. Could probably just get some commercial sized ziplock bags or something.
  13. I'm a fan of a Bulleit Rye neat with a cider back lately.

  15. Jelly. It's even that white cream type color that I love. I have been toying with the idea of a Warmoth build for a long time now. I'd either go with a 72 deluxe style tele like that, or a hard tail strat for a Billy Corgan strat build.
  16. Finally. I was sick of pandering to you dipshits. I AM INVINCIBLE!
  17. Wake me up when it's on hand-polished, lathe cut, vinyl with silk screened flexi insert. neapolitan swirl.
  18. I am interesting for the Schiit Modi Optical DAC you have in stock for ship to Lagos Nigeria.
  19. Positioning is pretty important. If you can't keep them far enough away from the wall, you'll want to plug the bass port (assuming it's rear ported like the RX line) otherwise bass will be really boomy and exaggerated.
  20. Grats. I hope you have some heavy duty stands for those speakers. I've seen them in person and was kind of shocked with how substantial they are.
  21. There's another one on Audiomart for $880 CAD. His asking price may not be all that unreasonable.
  22. There's one for sale on Audiogon for $575 US. No clue what that is in Canadbucks. https://www.audiogon.com/listings/solid-state-rega-brio-r-excellent-2016-08-11-integrateds-t6x0w3
  23. These are especially handy for use with Apple TV.
