still trying to figure out you cannot come up with 15 hours over the course of nearly a week to pick up some cans in the park or something. online classes must be rough.

Shit man, I'm sorry if everyone here never makes mistakes, and has to ask for help. I forgot you guys are all cyborgs programmed to not fuck up. There's no need to be repetitive I understand I fucked up. You're just preaching to the choir buddy.
And for everyone who gave me helpful suggestion, thanks.

I guess all my useful posts are just for nothing. Bummer!

Tardcore got a reaction from slinch in Adding new speakers to my setup. How do I do it?
there is a difference between powered speakers designed for near-field listening and powered studio monitors. The Audio Engines or Paradigm Shifts should out perform studio monitors at a similar price point or beyond and no doubt sound completely fine for a starter setup.
That said, I tend to agree that you get more value in the long run out of a traditional setup and continually upgrading powered speaker sets is a huge waste of $.

upgrade that tree branch while you're at it. it's killing your sound.

We get it. You thought my post gave someone's feelings an ouchie. I'll go to time out.

Yawn.
I'm no baby. It's just funny that I'm full of shit when I'm trying to learn like anybody else on here.

Then actually use this as a tool to learn, not spout off words trying to feign audio knowledge. And again, learn to get your balls busted.

Such an unwarranted, unkind comment from a senior member of the community.
I have ears like the rest of you. Maybe not ears trained on a $1000+ system but I know enough what kind of sound I want to get if I"m spending over $700 on music playing devices. Thanks for sharing your experience in helping me decide what pre-amps in this price range would give me close to what I want rather than insulting me. I appreciate it!

Why be a douche? As though anyone can truly describe "warmth" when relating to audio or in general for that matter. I think "detail" speaks for itself. I hate the elitist attitudes from some members here. -

I think he was trying to say "I heard these terms used before in audio talk, I'll use them without knowing what they actually mean".

bad choices might work. that 401k is just sitting there collecting dust.

I would try swapping out different interconnects and a non-vinyl source and so forth...but probably wind up just returning for a replacement.

better solution is probably to move the speakers off the shelf. (speaker stands)
get them at ear height and minimize the vibrations.
maybe get something solid to place under your turntable. I use a heavy maple cutting board with some anti-vibration neoprene padding underneath.

Tardcore got a reaction from rooks in Opinions: Klipsch Reference RB-61 II
I think he meant "house sound" as in, a sound unique to the Klipsch brand.
it's like if you order the house salad at a restaurant, you get some specific blend greens and a distinctive dressing.
It does not taste like a rave party. unless that is their specialty.

I got these (Monitor Audio RX1) to go with my PM6004 and am pretty happy.

Tardcore reacted to SUTTER in Just started a pretty cool kickstarter!
Hey everyone! I just launched my new kick starter project! The reason behind the project is to show people the the entire country who can not travel and see things for themselves! Whether its financial reasons, medical, or just too many obligations I will show them the country through a photo book I will create!
The project can be seen here http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stephen-sutter/vagabond-a-boy-a-bus-a-camera-a-dream
Any and all backings of the project are fantastic!
Thank you all for reading my post!
If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Tardcore got a reaction from trevorxramage in Emotiva Turntable - Shut up and take my money?
source
I know, I know. I post too many Emotiva threads. I am seeking help.
That said...I was reading up a bit more on their new phono preamp and came across a mention of a possible turntable offering.
There are several photos (page 4) of a prototype developed in partnership with Clearaudio.
Could be new a player in the entry-level/mid-range market to shaking things up as soon as Q2 2014.
