A shop about an hour away still had some collision courses Saturday afternoon. Superfly in San Marcos, not sure if they ship out. But if worth a shot.

Vegetarian / Vegan Foods Thread
TinaRod replied to smash2pieces's topic in Everything Else Message Board
So I read through this thread and saw a lot of recipes I want to try. I made the switch to vegetarian at the beginning of the year. I had done it before for about two years then just stopped. This time my mom agreed to go meatless more often which is helpful since we eat together. My favorite things are smoothies and hummus. I make my own hummus and add in different ingredients for flavor. As far as packaged foods, I really enjoy GoPicnic. I hadn't seen it brought up before. Not all of their meals are veg*n but some are. They are packed full of protein and fairly healthy. Target has them in Texas and slowly the rest of the retailers are getting them. Also Toffuti QTs are amazing! We have been buying those for several years. Definitely the best when it comes to ice cream. I'm really interested in those black bean brownies. I might have both ingredients in the house and will try them this week for sure. Protein and chocolate! -
So just found this thread and its my sentiments exactly. I wrote this 15 page paper for a first draft and didn't proofread it. so my prof makes the comments constantly through it about style but only talks about content like three times. That's pretty nice for not really trying. Now to work on this quick 10 page paper about Ann Richards.

BEST/WORST PURCHASES FROM RSD '14
TinaRod replied to Rapidfiretollbooth's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Best: As of right now Paranorman. I bought it on a whim because I like scores and thought if I didn't dig it I could sell it to someone on here. Worst: Paramore, only because mine has a large scratch on the remix side. I like the song just bummed it got scratched before I even got it at the store. -
Tell your funny 'Vinyl Noob' story
TinaRod replied to Customguitars87's topic in Everything Else Message Board
So I have two noob stories to share. They happened about a month apart but I just wasn't aware. I had usb turntable collecting dust in the house, so I decided I'll buy some and play it. I didn't take the stylus cover off and tried to play an album and was really confused as to why it wouldn't work. Then it hit me. Second I got the Bayonet Ep which is a 12" that plays at 45rpm. It isn't marked on there anywhere and I was like "why doesn't this sound right?" Then I got online and read it was 45. Nothing too crazy i guess. -
Three were previous RSD releases I found. And four are used albums I picked up. Plus I picked three albums for fellow VCers.

I saw the REM Unplugged at my shop. Almost grabbed it yesterday, but was spending way to much as it was. I can check again. I'm planning on hitting three in this next week.

How did you find Vinyl Collective?
TinaRod replied to loren's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I've been here for a while but haven't posted in here yet. I found out about from this guy at my local hot topic. Now he doesn't work there or post on here much. -
One of the stores I was at still had several of the Springsteen ep. I'll be back up there later this week and I'll check for you!

Superfly in San Marcos tx still has some collision course and other titles. I was there this morning. I'm not sure if they ship. But it's worth a shot.

One of the stores I'm going to has posted pics. They have several childish gambino. I'll do my best to get one. I also saw they have the sam Cooke album. I'll do my best to try to help anyone out. My main concern is bayside 7". https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=771234492900830&id=502920159732266

I'm planning on hitting two stores that day. I'll be on the look out for any of the top 5. I'm mainly looking for bayside and fun for myself. But I'll keep looking for everyone else.

Neck Deep Rain In July/AHOBD repress
TinaRod replied to wheelchairjoe's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm looking forward to this. I didn't get into them until November. So I would enjoy adding this to my collection. Hoping they will do a bundle through hopeless. -
They moved. So now no worries. On another note our town has leash laws for animals. Even cats. So most people who have them keep them inside.
-
Yeah. They couldn't even come over and tell us they had a problem.

Here are my three cats. Top to bottom: Sweet Pea, the youngest and smallest, Jack, the oldest and biggest, and Benny, the middle cat. Sweet Pea came from my moms old work. They were mean to her (not changing her litter, running her over with carts and closing off her litter box). When my mom left there, one of her coworkers asked her to take her home. She spent the first week in our house under my bed and would only come out if I was right there. Now she's outgoing and always runs to the door when the doorbells rings. Sometimes we call her little braveheart. Benny is my little man. He's watching over my shoulder as I type this. He is the most talkative but also the sweetest. He likes to be held and sung to. We got him and Jack from a friend who couldn't take them when he moved. At first the two boys were outside cats, until Benny got caught in a trap my neighbor set. Jack is the oldest and biggest. He doesn't get along with Sweet Pea because she chases him around the house. For the most part he can be sweet, but he has a tendency to go a little crazy. He prefers if he's the only cat awake, so he can have all the attention. Also he enjoys watching Transformers, Westerns and Basketball Games

I do too. I used seabands and that seems to help.

Small Talk Revival Thread
TinaRod replied to One Hundred Fifty-Two's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Went to a bayside show tonight and some crazy chick bit me and a guy. Then started complaining when she got elbowed by another guy. He told her "it's a punk rock show, it happens"- 169,220 replies

Bayside was one of the two bands I was waiting for. (The other is senses fail). In addition, neck deep is awesome live. Another major reason I'm going.

I ordered the 100 one. Everything was individually wrapped and as someone else said the vinyl isn't as splattery.
