  1. K-Os - Black On Blonde Uncle Acid - Mind Control Coffins - The Fleshland Ghost - Infestissumam Steve Moore - Light Echoes
  2. Got a generic reply that says they will look into the matter and asked if I had black or blue.
  3. Recently re-watched Return Of The Living Dead for the first time in like 10 years. The energy, the fun and the gore of mid '80s splatter horrors (Evil Dead, Re-Animator, ROTLD...) just can't be stopped.
  4. Yesterday I got my blue copy (#1390) and yes, it has the same glitch on Everything's Ruined. Emailed MOV thru their website... let's see what happens.
  5. We were at the same show Spring/summer 1997, right? I might have a vhs of it somewhere.
  6. I can totally see that. Perhaps you could try isolating the components a bit by using pieces of heavy marble under the tt and speakers if you have them around.
  7. I know it's stupid but I just can't take seriously this band because of their name. I'm probably missing out on something good but it's just too flamboyantly gay and artsy I can't even be arsed play them on Spotify.
  8. Looks nice but tt and speakers on the very same piece of furniture? Not the best choice sonically speaking.
  9. Thanks for the input. Maybe it's just my copy or a case of bad compatibility between wax and my set up. The other record plays fine.
  10. Completely unreadable. Not a major issue but still...
  11. Oh yeah, the blow job bars! How could I forget about those fine establishments?!?
  12. Ok, I also like that 10" they did with a couple of tracks from STWHA. All the rest puts me to sleep. Now please enlighten us with more impeccable opinions about other people tastes.
  13. Forgot to add more about Kyoto and Osaka... Kyoto didn't have much. A couple of so-so stores and the Jet Set flagship store (the other one is in Shimokitazawa). Osaka has a much more (Time Bomb, King Kong, the JJ chain, 8 beater...). All of them are located around the Namba neighborhood. In Japan you can also find lots of excellent supplies for vinyl care, turntable upgrades, stylus cleaning and so on. Akihabara has a huge Yodobashi Camera shop and there's another one in Shinjuku.
  14. Get Up Kids - Something To Write Home About Grade - Under The Radar
  15. I've been to Japan four times now and it has always been a blast. Not a single day goes by without thinking about it. I have been to the monkey mountain in Kyoto and that was super funny. Walked by the Ghibli museum and into that nice park nearby. Remember, you have to make a reservation for your visit! Are guys considering Mount Fuji? If so let me know, I can give you a couple of hints to make it easier on your health Best way to find out about shows in Tokyo is http://www.tokyogigguide.com/gigs?lang=en Check it out in the next weeks as more stuff might be added. Hopefully your lady will be busy with some other activities because record hunting in Tokyo will take a lot of your time if done properly. I can say without fear of contradiction that it's the best spot in the whole world to buy records. I have been to NYC, London, Berlin, Paris, younameit but nothing comes even close. Following is a cross post from my Discogs contribution on their record store international forum Spoilering it for length: Do not hesitate to drop me a line should need more help
  16. Got my old Thorens tt back from storage the other day and found out that I had completely forgotten about this Beastie Boys splimat. If only I could get my hands on one of those Grand Royal slipmats they made back in the day
  17. That's great! I will even get you a few euro bucks off it to make up for the expensive postage from over here to the US. Record is brand new and unplayed, still in the original clear bag I got it in from Conspiracy.
