  1. Underwhelming. Check this thread http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/97256-vc-nyc-new-york-city/
  2. Yep, I remember those colored versions (they also did Carcass's SOS on red at the same time). Don't have any idea how I managed to avoid the og pressing of Slaughter Of The Soul AND that repress
  3. Anyone knows if Dig will be doing a Slaughter Of The Soul repress anytime soon? For some reason it's the only 'old-school' Earache title I'm still missing on wax. I think he'll definitely want to cash in on the whole reunion thing.
  4. While I think people with the 'I'M TRAVELLING ABROAD BUT I DO NOT WANNA DO TOURISTY SPOTS' mind-set should stay home and enjoy the world thru the internet I'm sure you'll love the Netherlands. If limited to 3 cities I would definitely visit Amsterdam, Utrecht and Den Haag. The trains over there work like magic even if a bit expensive. The whole nation is pretty small so you can move around easily. Amsterdam is filled with killer records shops: http://www.discogs.com/groups/topic/86273 Eat lots of vla.
  5. I recently ordered a copy of AOTY from Amazon.it as they were advertising it as BLACK wax. When it came in I noticed it was the golden version so you might want to try your luck with them. At least you can always return it for a refund or exchange with something else.
  6. http://recordshops.org/ and browse this forums @ Discogs http://www.discogs.com/groups/476
  7. Kaleidoscope - Tangerine Dream Love - Forever Changes
  8. How about hidden tracks on records and not cd's? Mr Bungle og pressing of Disco Volante has one: http://www.eeggs.com/items/2042.html
  9. In F'schain: HHV.de (it's best to pick up online orders at the store as their selection at the physical store is pretty limited), Audio-In (mostly 2nd hand rap and electronica but I always score something nice there), Power Park On Ku'damm: City Music If you're into anything '60s/'70s/'80s try to hit the sunday street market in Tiergarten. Got a bunch of cool stuff last time I was there.
  10. While in Paris go to MusicFearSatan: http://www.musicfearsatan.com/shop One of the best mailorders in the EU. Too bad you guys are not playing Berlin or Amsterdam: they're my favorite spots in the EU for record shopping. London is good but a little overpriced after £ exchange.
  11. I visited around X-Mas and the highlight of record shopping definitely was J&R having a 30% sale on EVERYTHING music. Box sets were on sale as well. Came out with a bag heavy as a really heavy thing. Scored cool stuff @ Academy 12th St and Greenpoint, Earwax and Permanent Records. Generation was good as usual. Noticed Other Music now has a small selection of used wax. Bleeker St records (not on Bleeker St anymore) and Coop 87 were so-so.
  12. About 2:50 in. The other guy in Jesu (not JK Flesh) did something similar ALL THE TIME. But he was really bad at it (playing and faces). Made me anxious.
  13. Also that stuff they added as bonus tracks was already available on that Grand Royal 12" bootleg series and on a number of unofficial cd's.
  14. Don't know how much wax you need to drag around by I came really close to buying one of these Carhartt x UDG trolleys http://www.carhartt-wip.com/news/products/2010/09/carhartt-x-udg They come come in different sizes and really well made.
  15. If you liked it you should definitely check out Haystack, that project Uffe did in the '90s: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Haystack Total Unsane worship. Slave Me is the bomb.
  16. I've been rocking a 2M Blue for a while now and I think it should be within your budget. It's a nice cart, loud enough, quite analytical. Wouldn't recommend it if you were going to play old, dusty records with it as imperfections are made quite noticeable. But it definitely sounds great on new, clean records.
  17. Off that list the only one I actually considered getting is Daft Punk
  18. We all have been through that phase for band XY while we were that age. Sadly this guy sound a little older for this bullshit.
  19. Is this people the younger brothers/sisters/new generation of those funny fellas that used label all kinds fast music (emo, metal, hc...) as 'grindcore' in the early '00s? They wore scarves and white belts. They were into Corn On Macabre and loved Pg.99.
  20. Have you ever been to Ikea? If people really went there for furniture you would always be done in 10 minutes tops. But no, you really have to struggle to get past this horde of zombie-like creatures touching, commenting, debating every fucking piece of cutlery, frame, rug and blanket in the store. This gets worse during the festivities.
  21. They also are not so into ex-cops, snitches, openly gay inmates, wife beaters, whatever... In reality, most of the inmates doing time for that kind of crime with high profile are segregated for their own safety and the safety of the deputies that are assigned to guard them. And even for convicted criminals attacking the weakest members of society in considered dishonorable.
  22. I was once asked by this young 'merican fella if the apparently european records I was selling would be ok to be played on 'mericans systems.
