THE OFFICIAL EBAY CRAZINESS THREAD
Korgull Of Morgoth replied to vinyljunkie's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
That part is actually correct. -
Yep, does not make any since whatsover Honey, no need for such a tirade. I thought it was pretty clear that I wasn't 100% about it serious. I could care less about this Cloudkicker or Blood Music. Next time I'll remember to drop a few emoticons or a zany gif. The 'vinyl bubble' comment was meant to say that nobody, trust me, NOBODY would have care about this kind of marketing tactic back in 1965->2005 when buying music on actual physical form was the norm and not going out of your way. Can you imagine pre-ordering some kind of secret cd back in 1993? Nope. Nobody ever did. If you figure out why.

PO: Gridlink "Longhena"
Korgull Of Morgoth replied to jovo's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Too bad it will be the last one forever from Takafumi It is with terrible sadness, that I must announce that Takafumi Matsubara is putting down his guitar and stepping away from music, likely forever. Approximately one month ago, Takafumi was hospitalized and doctors discovered he had a serious infection/inflammation in his brain. While the immediate danger has passed and Takafumi is out of the hospital, he has lost significant dexterity and control of his left hand, including the complete paralysis of his middle finger. As of today, Takafumi has permanently stepped down as lead guitar from Corrupted and Mortalized. There is a small chance of recovery through physical rehabilitation and extended medical treatment, but Doctor's were not positive about his ability to play guitar again. The Gridlink album "Longhena" will likely be his last work. He would like to extend his warmest regards to the artists that he was able to work with over the years and people he met through the band. "The Vinyl Bubble"
Korgull Of Morgoth replied to mutinyzine's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Well, not really. That can be correct from the whole mp3/Napster revolution in the mid '00s and on but techno/house/electronica/dj stuffs is what kept the record pressing plants in business during the '90s/early '00s. While vinyl records went almost completly 'out of business' in that time frame for all the rock/punk/metal/indie/whatever labels, hiphop/electronica record shops were blooming and always filled with records and that's why you can now find endless crates of useless crap mixes on wax in any 2nd hand store any where in the world. -

Writing off bands with stupid names
Korgull Of Morgoth replied to suchashorttime's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Late '90s/early '00s were a bad time for metalcore band names. Everyone wanted to be profound and meaningful: Hopesfall As Hope Dies As I Lay Dying Hope Die Last From Autumn To Ashes Between The Buried And Me A Life Once Lost Just look at the Wikipedia entry for the american Hellfest festival and you'll be overwhelmed by douche chills vibes. Too bad it is just getting worse. In the same time frame everyone was plotting and scheming, undermining this and that: Hope Conspiracy Cavalera Conspiracy International Noise Conspiracy Cancer Conspiracy Snake River Conspiracy Conspiracy Assassins Wellwater Conspiracy. I would also tend not to check out any band that has the words Theory, Club or Music in their names. -

Then get Roller and Suspiria or Profondo Rosso. Their version of Zombi is super cool too. Someone please explain me the hype over this Tour Ep. Re-recording 4 40yo songs in 2013? Pwease. They will have Steve Moore from Zombi on their upcoming shows in the US http://stevemoore2600.tumblr.com/ -

Most of the MOV reissues are readily available here in the EU for about 20-25 euro. I bought the In Utero 3xLP for 16 euro from Amazon. -

You're not paying for the stripping. What you're really paying for is saving the drama and bullshit in the aftermath. -

Cancel the manor and get your asses Ryanaired to any place in Germany. Invade the nearest Fkk club and proceed to get balls drained by the eastern europe beauties. -
38. Will turn 39 in November. My head is about 70% grey by now and my beard is probably 50/50. Discovered a few grey hairs on my torso in late '13 and the first one on my groin a few days ago. No care. My collection as shown on Discogs is of about 4300 pieces of music with a want list over 1000 records.

Berwick Street is the place. Within a 100 meters walk you get a Music Exchange, Revival Records and Sister Ray. There's more Music Exchange shops in Notting Hill and you can also try Flashback in Angel. For more info try this forum @ Discogs http://www.discogs.com/groups/topic/86292 -

iPod shit the bed, need some help.
Korgull Of Morgoth replied to diabretic's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Throw that shit in the goddamed street. Get one of those Sandisk Sansa Clip and forget about iTunes, synchronizing, not being able to copy files from it and so on. They're well made, cheap, small, sound the same as an ipod, great battery life, you can play radio and you can expand their memories with microSD cards.
