I couldn't agree more! It baffles me. There's even a dedicated Cassette Store Day now.
 
I talked about it with my dad one time and even he was confused. He told me that he only bought cassettes back in the day because they were cheap and you could play them in the car.
 
Somebody please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember tapes sounding that great either.

When I was in middle school my friend lent me some records, one of which was Dead Kennedy's and I believe a Suicidal Tendencies record. I left them in the trunk in the blazing Hesperia heat. He never talked to me again.

I don't really understand the SRC hate train. I'm not being biased, in general they've always delivered quality products and had great customer service. Plus they fund these boards we all love/hate so much. I'm asking an honest question here. If it's the MTS thing then that seems rather silly. RJ jacked that whole thing up and then just disappeared into internet obscurity.
Before anyone says anything; I'm not on their payroll, just kind of put off by all the negative comments they get for doing things a lot of other popular labels/distros do. At a time people got excited for their releases.

If anyone has the low down on something like this happening between Milwaukee and Chicago, let me know. Would love to go to something like this.

I like to listen to a lot of new music and I enjoy supporting DIY labels because they provide this service. Collecting for most any other reason says "trendy" to me and I hate that shit.

One of the few perks to being the old dude at the show, no desire to have my head walked on by 17 year olds so I watch from a safe distance.

Someone listen to their Hassle copy! It was pressed overseas (I would assume) so it might not have this problem.
