I am looking for this vinyl!   Tried for four hours to get copies for my daughters on the Fueled by Ramen website and never could check out due to their technical problems.   Don't know if we would have anything to trade, but what would you be willing to sell it for?

Debut Carbon or Rega RP1. I'm a firm believer in Rega products but both tables sound great. Grado carts sound pretty solid on the Rega too, and I think you can get a prestige blue for 100 bucks if you look around.

To be clear, I understand why people have the opinion and that the contrast of the two bands is stark. I just don't understand why people can't support the band they like without shitting all over the other one. If this was the GUK/Coalesce split, my comment would've been "Love that Get Up Kids take on the Coalesce song! Never could get into the vocals of Coalesce but to each their own." No need to make some broad statement extending to the fans or even to express bewilderment at the fact that anyone could possibly enjoy the band. In the years when I thought Circa Survive was the lamest band with the spazziest singer, I made 0 disparaging comments about them on this board (that talks about them constantly) because what's the point? Seems petty to me. But to each their own. (See what I did there?)

We won't do a re-press the Burning Airlines LPs. But our friends at Stiff Slack in Japan actually still have copies left in stock!

I feel the same way. The reunion shows were so fucking great. They seemed to really be enjoying themselves and having a good time. When they announced a new record being written and recording sessions I was so so damn excited. Then nothing..... Just crushed.
Hearing the new song just made all those feelings come back again. In some weird way I'd hope that those guys, noticing all the love that the new song is receiving, would light a fire in them and give them the desire to try it one more time but I'm pretty sure that's an incredibly hopeless long shot.

"We're not doing anything. We had an 'interesting' reunion experience a couple of years ago where we got together out of the blue and patched up old relationships and differences and just wanted to do some reunion shows. It turned out great and it was a lot of fun and we sort of accidentally wrote a song and we were like, 'OK, why don't we try to do a record?' We spent a lot of time writing an album's worth of songs and then went to record it in Los Angeles - all of the writing had been done up in the North West where most of the guys are located - and the recording process just... It just fell apart. So that was probably the end of that band - if we couldn't make any new music, what's the point?"

This SDRE is so amazing it's depressing me. I'd have loved a whole album with this sound/lyrical tone. Why can't they keep their shit together?

I've listened to this several times now and this is easily my least favorite Chuck Ragan album.  I feel like his songwriting has taken a step backwards, as most of the songs are really simple.  Track 1 is a perfect example of this.  It's also overall a bit too twangy for my taste.  My fiance loves Chuck, and even she's not sure what to think about this album.  Super disappointed in this.

Good point about the splits. In a perfect world, they'd ship the LP in a plain white inner sleeve, outside the jacket, with the printed sleeve inside the jacket... but that'd add a couple bucks to shipping and "handling," ha ha.
 
I have to say I didn't like S/T very much either - it felt kind of flat to me. Wasted Years however has been in with my NOFX rotation for the past couple of days. It's really, really good! 
 
 
 
I'm an idiot for not buying a ticket. They're playing Seattle tomorrow night and I really should be there, but for some reason I decided against a ticket (probably because of the sour taste S/T left in my mouth) and now I am a dunce. Cerebral Ballzy is kick-ass but I think they sound really similar to OFF!, which of course isn't necessarily bad. Something about them also reminds me of Operation Ivy, but I'm not sure what it is.
 
Would have loved to pick up some shirts and other cool merch at the show. Damn it! Hopefully I will catch them next time they come through town. 
 
Of course, if I went to the show I'd probably sleep through my classes on Monday. I saw Propagandhi on a Tuesday night and the next morning was some shit, I tell you.

I don't get it, man! Us punks have jobs and classes, why can't they just play Fridays and Saturdays? Hahaha

NEWS!!!!!!!!!! A local pawn broker just called me saying a couple have bought in a heap of records and for me to go have a look !!! All old records until I get 15 or so down the pile annnndddd.... my anthony green painted cover!!!!!! They have all their id so I hope police can see if they have the rest! Lucky the broker knew my situation cuz for around 50 records they gave them $1 per record...!!!!
