  1. My avatar says it all. Snot! and many others. i'm right there with you man.
  2. I was under the impression that if you bought from the nin store that you'd have access to download the audiophile master digital files. The article made it sound like that was an option exclusive to nin.com.
  3. Surely they do that to encourage people to also buy a separate cd copy for said alt cover art.
  4. I guess it was just timing. I was 11 when Korn's self-titled album dropped. I'm pretty sure that was the first parental advisory album I ever got. I thought it was the shit. As I've gotten older though, they have lost the appeal to me that I once had. Follow the Leader wasn't TOO bad, there's are a couple of good songs on there but there's also the songs that just seem corny now. Like that song where Fred Durst and Jonathon Davis battle rap. While this is not as bad as ICP, I still can't listen to it with a straight face.
  5. I side with the people that are saying the S/T and Life is Peachy were solid but after the first 2 albums, it just went south. KoRn is similar to Limp Bizkit in that respect. Neither JD or Fred Durst can hold a candle to Chino from a vocalist standpoint and anyone that thinks otherwise should have their head examined.
  6. I've got my eye on that Circa Survive Violent Waves album, thinking of getting it for my girl. Funds are tight right now, probably for lots of people with a bunch of good stuff being released in September.
  7. I guess that's good news. Waiting sucks though. If I wasn't such a vinyl addict, I'd be able to forget about it and let it be a surprise when it shows up at my door. Alas... I am doomed to anxiousness.
  8. When people have paid already and are given a shipping date, we expect it to be shipped on that date. Whatever if they are going to be late, but they need to send out a communication somehow (email, or update the title's info page). People want to know where their stuff is, not have to hunt down an answer.
  9. Anyone else hear some Prince influence in the track "Satellite"? I love this album more and more with each listen. Love Reznor's comment about putting up 10 bucks or go fuck yourself. I expect to put up at least $25 for the vinyl. And I'm pissed that I have to drive to either Cleveland or Nashville to catch a show from the tour... why not Cincinnati, or even Indianapolis or Columbus... damn.
  10. You emailed them today and they said it wasn't going to ship out until next week?
  11. Was it also a typo that this would "be shipped on or before August 27th"? Because it's the 28th and I'm still awaiting shipment on the order status. This is my first time doing a PO through SRC, so perhaps it was indeed shipped yesterday and my order status just hasn't been updated?
  12. It reminds me more of The Fragile than anything. Lots of beat-driven songs, eerily similar to the tracks on The Fragile disc 2. I'm even starting to latch onto "Everything". It really helps to hear the album as a whole. Definitely getting this one on vinyl, I dig it.
  13. Snot. God I wish Get Some would be pressed on vinyl. Lynn Strait had an incredible voice.
  14. I completely agree. And to anyone that says we shouldn't expect the "old NIN" because Trent is older now, conquered some demons, and whatever. Well... maybe he should end Nine Inch Nails and start a new band. "Everything" is not NIN as far as I'm concerned. I gave it a couple of listens and I don't think I'm ever going to like it. I really liked the first 2 songs and I really hope that "Everything" will be the only song on the album that I don't like.
  15. 1. I have ordered and received 2 releases so far through Beatdelete. Blockhead's Music By Cavelight and The Cinematic Orchestra Ma Fleur. 2. You are only charged once the item has met the threshold. 3. Since you aren't charged until the threshold is met, I believe it's up to the buyer of when to decide it isn't going to happen and cancel your order. So far, I haven't noticed any titles being removed due to threshold not being met. I don't have proof of that though since I haven't kept track of everything in their catalog. I can't say enough nice things about Beatdelete. Their customer service is really good in my experience. Some people may dislike the time it takes after threshold is met to actually receive a copy of the title but from my perspective I say, "please... take your time. I'd like a quality product in a little bit more time than a rushed product that ends up sounding and looking like crap". Production for Music By Cavelight took forever (2 months), but it was one of their first albums to meet goal and it was all going down right around the time of RSD in April. Once the item actually ships, it comes through Royal Mail and it's super quick. I got both of my titles within 4 business days of them being shipped. As far as quality goes, I really think they do excellent work. Everything from the media to the jacket/inner sleeves/artwork is top notch in my opinion. They have since added many more labels since the last post on this thread too. But I'm willing to bet that a lot of those labels are still not very familiar to most people over here in the states. I discovered this site via my love for Blockhead and they've already turned me onto a few new artists, TCO being one of them. One of the great things about this site is that a lot of the titles will have a couple of the songs from the album that you can listen to first. It's not just a preview either, it's full songs streamed from soundcloud. Bottom line is I would recommend Beatdelete to anyone. Great things they are doing.
  16. Jesus... reading through this thread for the first time since this went on sale at noon. You guys make me feel a lot better about what I THOUGHT was my own addiction to vinyl.
  17. The sale starts in a few hours. I have very little desire to try and get this. Wouldn't even be able to make the show since I live in KY. I've seen them 2 times, once in Ann Arbor and once in Las Vegas. I love Glassjaw, but this has to be one of the most retarded ideas ever. Wonder who thought to do this. Hopefully I can just get a black version of this EP later on.
  18. I wish they'd reissue Deadwing.... That's my favorite PT album. This is good news though about Stupid Dream.
  19. My buddy likes Del a lot. He'll be stoked about this. I haven't really absorbed the first album, maybe I should do that...
  20. indeed. i was looking for the music section that used to be there.
  21. uhh, am i missing something? the vinyl section on hottopic.com is still missing.
  22. SSD is notorious for taking forever with shipments. I try to steer clear of being in that boat as much as possible.
  23. Amen to that. I have a Siamese. He's the biggest, coolest, most awesomest cat ever. He would never do anything to hurt my reckas. Cats are a great pet if you know how to treat them. And the cat box doesn't have to stink up the place if you keep it cleaned. I clean mine on the daily, only takes 30 seconds.... Lots of people just don't like cats because they aren't like a dog. Completely different animal in almost every way.
