Speaking of Hamilton. I'm really hoping that the Reds will decide to keep Billy Hamilton on the post-season roster, but I'm doubting it.

Yeah, I guess some people may feel differently, but I really liked what I heard. I had problems getting it to stream again on my phone after I had to pause it on the 4th track so I'll listen to the rest of it when I get home, but what I heard I liked a lot. I can't wait to hear that track with Zach de la Rocha.

That would be sweet. One of my old friends introduced me to LOTD back in my Junior year of high school. I really like their style. Kinda like post-hardcore on xanax. Can't wait to get home and find it. Really want to listen to it now.

I haven't listened to this album in forever. I just noticed they have a few newer releases that I've never heard before. Some album with Still Life Projector (whoever that is) and looks like a S/T album in 2011. Do you know if those albums are any good?

Listening to this album and just noticed how much they remind me of this band called "By A Thread". Specifically the track Quiet Liar. Not sure if anybody on here has ever heard them. They didn't get very big, but I have their Last of the Daydreams album on cd. Going to have to dig that one up tonight when I get home.

If I was ever in a financial situation, I'd just put it on pause for a while, not sell all my stuff. But that's just me. I'm sure you have your reasons.

I was going to say. I've heard the S/T on black that I borrowed from a friend and I thought it was just absolutely horrible sounding, very noisy. I've read that For Emma also does not sound great on LP either. That being said, I like Bon Iver's music a lot and I think I would definitely be in the market to buy if these reissues sounded better.

OMG! Dude you're cracking me up over here! That's super funny! Seriously though... I saw this and got excited. Then I saw the label and affiliation with a church, then the tracklist and was like "Oh...." I totally got passed the christian lyrical content of Please Come Home, but I have a feeling the amount of religion in this release will be too much for me. I'm going to certainly try to like it because I respect Dustin so much as a musician. I'm not bashing christianity, but it's not my thing.

SRC is supposed to release this late September/early October? Seems like it's behind schedule as I believe we're still waiting for approval on a test pressing before pre-ordering begins?

To add onto this. If you've looked at Amazon, you may have been only looking at the price through Amazon. Typically there are external sellers on Amazon that have this title for $25-$30 plus shipping which isn't too bad. I have ordered probably 10 records from The_Connection seller out of Kentucky and haven't had 1 issue with them.

I actually didn't even read through this thread. Had no idea about the issue with this particular record. I thought you were talking about just normal gunk from a new record. I only posted the cheap price I saw on amazon on this thread because I didn't want to start a new one. Now I'm really glad I didn't buy it, after reading through this sounds like a record I don't want in my collection (unless it gets reissued).

Gunked up isn't a problem if you have a good cleaner. I'd be more concerned about it being warped.

And.... it's gone.

I wish I had more money too. I haven't seen W&T listed new for anything under $50. I've never bought anything through beaches, so at the price I'm also somewhat skeptical. Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with it.

I know a couple of people that are on pins and needles waiting for that release. I tried to like that album but just couldn't get into it. The Q-sound aspect in the recording is very cool, excellent soundstage, but the material itself, while conceptually very cool just comes across very boring to me. More than anything I can't stand Roger's vocals. He sounds like he's about 100 years old on his deathbed. Nothing like his excellent work on The Wall. Far as I know Soundstagedirect has the best price for the PO. Amazon is like $25 more.

I like this EP and I opted to pass on it for RSD back in April. I'm probably gonna snag one of these on black since it's relatively cheap. It'd be cool to have that splatter variant but not cool enough to pay extra for it.
