  1. I get that, but I'm wondering if people's gripes with Solid State are legitimate in any way or if SS wrongfully receives misplaced frustration for shipping prices.
  2. Solid State mentioned that shipping price is due to Merchline. I have no idea how this works. Can anyone here comment?
  3. I said "goodbye" to collecting Circa variants when they released those custom Violent Waves jackets, but I allowed myself to keep collecting Juturna and On Letting Go variants... And now I can't decide if this week is a good one or an awful one. Sigh... ordered it all, baby.
  4. Node is a good listen. It might not get me as penally erect as Singularity did (and still does... seriously that album wrinkles my brain), but there are some top-tier moments in a number of solid tracks. Marcus does a great job overall; however, I think he'll truly settle in on the next album. The band remains groovy and particularly interesting for this brand of metalcore. Some of the cringe-worthy lyrics really pull me away from the tunes, though: "Cover your footprints like a bandaid on a broken arm." Lmao. "So alone in a digital world..." Ugh. Still like/love a lot more than I dislike. Soma, Obelisk, Node, Ohm, Rot, and Leech are all Northlane-dope. I'll be listening to this for a long time even if it isn't Singularity.
  5. Sorry if I'm not seeing something right. Is the tracklist correct?
  6. Sorry if it's been posted, but anyone notice the lyrics sheet mixed up the lyrics to these two songs?
  7. Darn. Preorders are absolutely shredding me right now. I could not pass this up whatsoever.
  8. So so awesome. Donated some money, but I need to make sure I can grab any vinyl release.
  9. I can't believe I missed this when it first went up, but I was able to order it this morning! Thanks to all who updated this thread. TIP is easily in my tops for 2014 album list. I've kept track of these dudes since that white EP (forget the name), and I think their new vocalist takes the band to a new level. $8.00+ shipping to California though...
  10. The song Variance really stands out to me on first listen. I'm already a fan of Instant Gratification, and I had to let Acceptance Speech grow on me (now I feel it's one of DGD's best). I'm slightly worried that Tilian's melodies sound a little samey, but I'll give it some time before I gather all my thoughts. No matter what, IG is still another solid release from DGD. They continue to be just fun to listen to.
  11. Picked up Tides and TDWP at Valley Fair in Santa Clara/San Jose! Thanks again, Travis.
  12. That looks great! I'm picking it up for sure. Pleasantly surprised by how much I dig the album.
  13. I just mean that "I'll Just Wait" introduces 15 minutes of pretty slow jams. I still think they are well-written songs, but it drags just a bit. Overall, I'm still liking the release. I'm 100% with you in thinking that it's not great and not bad
  14. The album grinds to a halt at track 4, but it's very listenable all around. A smart release that gives them a lot of room to do anything they want next. I will pick this up on vinyl ASAP as I'm just sorta rooting for them.
  15. I like it. I've been listening to each new song just once so that I do not wear them out. Totally rooting for these guys. The long delay has killed some of my hype for the album though. I'm hoping Hot Topic will have this on/near the exact release date.
  16. Panopticon - ...On The Subject Of Mortality Pretty happy I found this in person
  17. Darn. Promised myself I would buy this once it became available again, but that price... I'll echo what has been said: "Dammit I hate myself, bought."
  18. I really like this band. Fazzi is just an all around good guy. The packaging is cool at first, but I can't really enjoy because I'm scared that some accident will happen and the water will ruin everything around it. So I have it stored far away.
  19. This album, to me, is easily their weakest yet. It's pretty scaled back, and it just never hits that hard. The lyrical content is cool at times, but there definitely aren't any "New Storms, "The Last Lost Continent," "Andria," or "I See Everything" type songs on here. In fact, I think the lyrics are straight boring. I bet they're still great live, though.
