  1. Random question: anyone have experience with changing their address on preorders through Relapse? I'm moving kinda spur of the moment at the end of the month. Haven't signed the lease yet, so I'm just asking before I actually contact customer service. Every time I've moved I've had enough notice that I start having preorders shipped to my dad's place just to be safe. But I've got like half a dozen preorders I'm gonna have to sort out. I recall hearing that forwarding doesn't work with media mail.
  2. To be fair, no one exists in Delmar. But yeah, tour routing usually goes in a 3 hour circle around Albany and it sucks. We used to get dope shows 10-15 years ago. Now it's "What direction do I want to drive 3 hours in?"
  3. Maybe it's for people at SDCC to buy thinking they can flip it, only to get stuck with it.
  4. I dunno, I'm somewhat convinced that DW headquarters is secretly a USPS hub.
  5. I've defended the Sacred Bones upcharge before because at least there's more actual labor/effort going into them. Not equal to the $ amount, but still. It's not just selecting a different color from the plant. I don't know if they still do it, but I know at some point Topshelf Records was charging extra for their rarest variants, but the extra $2 or whatever was going to charity. That I can get down with. Relapse making an extra $800 off one variant just because is kinda lame. I get it and I understand supply/demand, but it doesn't stop it from being lame.
  6. Both cigarettes and vinyl cost as much as they do because people will pay it. Well, cigarettes are also taxed out the ass now. But my point is neither price increases are due to just inflation. The cost of manufacturing vinyl has gone up with the increase in vinyl sales, sure. But it's not "$8 a unit for a different color way" more expensive. Obviously most of us seem willing to pay that premium, but we can still be annoyed. I wanted that variant, so I got it. That $8 wouldn't be enough to get me a pack of cigs, but still.
  7. Because some of us started collecting when brand new LPs were like $8-10
  8. It didn't let me either, but I was checking prior to the drop. Just spent the 25 cents to transfer it over to my bank account after having to put it on my card.
  9. I also grabbed the /500 merge w/splatter because I forgot I had a PayPal balance and I hate money
  10. I miss the rush of F5ing, finally having the album pop up, and checking out with the most limited variant. But I'm also really glad I don't do it that often anymore.
  11. Holy shit, missed the drop by 6 minutes and still managed to snag the pinwheel
  12. This information will not stop me from hiding at work and refreshing the page every 2 minutes.
  13. He's been in the band for awhile, at least for live shows. If I hadn't just bought the Meth Syndicate Bee Movie shirt I 110% would grab that. I don't need two Nic Cage "Not the bees!" shirts though...still miiiiight get it.
  14. I loved Wolf in White Van. Really digging UH so far. I'm a sucker for anything involving a video store though.
  15. It's always a shit show of warped records when stuff ships in July. There are still some up on the store and hopefully they set some aside to replace damages. With the record breaking heat last week I'm honestly surprised the handful of records I've received in the past few days have been flat.
  16. Been meaning to read this for years. I've had a copy just sitting on my shelf. Currently reading John Darnielle's Universal Harvester
