  1. That's like...commentary on life, bro But yeah, I almost never finish ToT as much as I like it.
  2. Also, none of us are going to go to where that dude in the Alkaline Trio thread works with a printout of his post like "IS THIS WHO YOU WANT WORKING FOR YOU?!!!"
  3. My point is "the mob" already reacted and it worked. Now years later a different mob is dredging it back up. They aren't offended, they are using this as a political tactic.
  4. But just like a poster saying "raped my wallet" or whatever, these guys got called out. It's just that they are now being called out again long after they apologized and changed. They didn't dig their heels in and lash out. They listened, took it to heart, and stopped doing that shit. The comparison doesn't work.
  5. Dan Harmon has been, in my opinion, sincere about knowing he needed to change and working towards changing for the better. Long before this video resurfaced. Same with James Gunn, again BEFORE the resurfacing of near decades old tweets. IIRC Harmon even took that video down years ago shortly after posting it. These attacks are coming from alt-right trolls who are 100% not actually upset by the material. That Mike Cerovich (or whatever, I'm not looking him up to spell his name right) dude was charged with rape and pleaded down to battery. He makes blog posts about how date rape isn't really rape. About how if a girl doesn't want to fuck you the best thing to do is pull your dick out and masturbate. These aren't jokes, he really advocates this. So yeah, some of us understand context and encourage people to make positive changes rather than weaponize tweets/skits that have long ago been apologized for.
  6. Ghost With a Boner was a jam. That is the extent of my knowledge on this band.
  7. Well damn, I was gonna go see Ant Man tomorrow, but now I want to get in on this "2 different endings" shit. (Also, seriously everyone go see Sorry to Bother You)
  8. With moviepass I've seen a bunch of shit I wouldn't have even bothered pirating. I'd normally never bother with something like Unfriended or Truth or Dare unless they ended up with crazy positive buzz. But I really like how actually going to see a movie in the theater limits your options. When I'm paying $14 a pop I'm only going to see stuff I really want to see. With MP it's like "Ah well let's see what's playing..." I really hope they don't go under because it's really reignited my love of seeing movies in the theater "just because" I'm really glad I got a year up front, because I don't have to deal with the "peak pricing" thing until January. I typically can only catch showings that start between 6:30 and 8 which I assume will pretty much always apply to those showtimes.
  9. That's lame. Still might waste 90 minutes on it (yay moviepass) but that's a bummer. I guess there are two different endings that play "at random"
  10. [Whatever the next brain would be] Never listening to the album and flipping your variant for a cool $5 profit
  11. [Galaxy brain] Waiting to listen to an album until you have the record in hand
  12. Too little too late for your friend, but there was a blog that did a very detailed breakdown of the entire series that took maybe an hour to read. It was a very good resource.
  13. It's not really horror, but everyone should go see Sorry to Bother You. The less you know, the better. The best I can explain it is it's like if Get Out and Idiocracy were the same movie, but done in the style of early 00s indie flicks like Eternal Sunshine and Being John Malkovich. It's not perfect, but my criticisms are irrelevant because I just want people to go see it. We need more legit fucking weird movies like this.
  14. I knew that was coming and almost prematurely congratulated the good Dr Zoidberg's troll.
  15. Most importantly, you consented to what this preorder did to your wallet. So "snowflakes" aside, you're still wrong.
  16. Here's my amazing and thorough review: I didn't dig it, but it wasn't bad and I don't really have an opinion on it one way or the other really. Might grab it if I come across it for $10 like I did New Bermuda. Which is funny because I really liked Demo/RTJ/Sunbather but haven't gotten around to buying any of them.
  17. Fuck the line at Cafe du Monde tho. We got beignets at a random little cafe and they were dope as fuck. Are you vegan? Because so am I but my girlfriend and I were like "Fuck it, we're eating seafood this week" and Coops was the fucking shit. Dat Dog had a dope alligator hot dog.
  18. I looked through a bunch of the old lineups, it's definitely mostly Christian bands. My ex-christcore kid coworker said he used to go to it every year.
  19. Drug Church is definitely not a Christain band. I don't think Such Gold, Microwave, or Can't Swim are either but I don't know enough about any of them to say for sure.
  20. I love Drug Church and they never god damn play their hometown. I'd honestly waste a day making the drive just to see them and fuck around, but its on my girlfriend's birthday.
