  1. It's important to note that the service has been removing showtimes/movies at random throughout the day and then pulling everything but e-tickets at some point in the evening. If you're planning on going check the app and if you can, get tickets as early as possible.
  2. Movies opening on 1,000+ screens won't be available for their first two weeks. Doesn't apply to e-ticketing theaters though. I'm paid through January, so I don't have to worry about the extra $5/month OR surge pricing. So I'm still having a pretty dope time.
  3. Is there anyone who didn't get their tri-color? I think all of those might have gone out. Did anyone get their red copy that didn't also order a tri?
  4. Honestly, the PayPal claim window being 180 days I'd say just wait and see what happens. It's a great release and worth having. The lack of communication sucks but there's not really any risk in the event the records never get shipped.
  5. Oh shit, looks like the cards started working around 8:45 EST. Looks like we might be able to get a little more blood out of this stone. Definitely makes sense for monthly subscibers to get out though. Especially if you've got other options.
  6. Looks like they are "no longer offering tickets to big new releases such as Christopher Robin and The Meg coming out the next 2 weeks" Which is funny because I was stoked to see The Meg but ONLY because I'd be seeing it through Moviepass. Not paying real money for that shit. So if they get it back up and running don't expect to be able to see any new shit apparently. I lucked out, my local indie only became an e-ticketing theater a month or two ago. Otherwise I'd be shit outta luck.
  7. God damn I wish I had a Drafthouse around here. Although, one of the cofounders has started a new company and one of their first theaters is in my city. Not sure when it's opening, but it should be a damn good theater. E-ticketing is still working on MP, but the cards are completely non-functional at this point. Saw MI: F last night and I'm gonna check out Blindspotting tonight. Probably Eighth Grade tomorrow. I'll honestly be surprised if there's any functionality after that.
  8. Yeah, I'm thinking about dropping the like $170 on a year for that. I think it works out to just under $5 a movie. Sucks for months were a ton of stuff comes out, but still worth it. With my luck they'll end their "sale" price right before I have the extra cash. I think "regular price" for the 3 movie plan is like $420 for the year... definitely not worth it. I mean, the math still works out in my favor but it's just so far from the $120 that I dropped on Moviepass.
  9. I don't have a single AMC within 100 miles of me, so I'm shit outta luck. Word is AMC is going to drastically overhaul their program, the current model is just until Moviepass crashes and burns out. That's why you can only buy it for 3 months at a time right now. Maybe not, but that rumour wouldn't surprise me at all. I also just double checked some theaters around here and the Moviepass app is only listing like 3 or 4 movies at each, even though more than 10 are currently playing. My plan had been to see Ant Man tonight and that's completely gone. Not even just grayed out.
  10. I'm only bummed that I paid for a full year and this will be 6 months...but still...I've seen 25 movies and that works out to $4.80 a ticket. Tickets here are $13.70.
  11. The entitlement has been insane. I saw people screaming about the Mission Impossible thing like "that's illegal! Let's start a class action suit!" and like...nah bruh, they can blackout a movie if they want... E-ticketing still works and I've got a small "indie" here that does that. They're also not blacking out Mission Impossible at e-ticket theaters so I'm going to that right now. As of this afternoon no one could successfully check in at any theater that required use of the card. Not sure what's up now.
  12. I held a mic up once for a few songs because the stand broke mid set. Same band different show (this time at a "proper" venue) I had to plug the same dude's pedal board back in after someone climbed over me and fell on it. At a show in a record store someone unplugged the guy from This is Hell's amp and he went on a tirade about how upstate NY isn't REAL NY and how we were all pussies. Eventually someone shouted "ITS PLUGGED BACK IN DUDE" Anyways, Uniform are fucking sick. I wish this tour had hit near me.
  13. Maybe they'll greatly overestimate how many they order and in a few months or so they'll knock the price down to something reasonable.
  14. I'm pretty stoked too, definitely not upset about the variant or anything. Also seems like White 2's discs are MUCH lighter than White 1. Kinda flimsy.
  15. Anyone else get their silver copies yet? Just got mine and White 1 is silver like all the other SL 25th anniversary pressings, but White 2 is clear with silver smoke.
  16. They're so vocal, gross, and embarrassing that they've ruined being a fan. I can still watch and enjoy it.
  17. Pretty sure the first 4 albums are forever tied up in the rights clusterfuck caused by Ferret selling off their catalog. We're lucky we got the Virgil pressings when we did. I'm a little sad I sold my TBD off, but I'm glad it went to a good home.
  18. I will shut this thread down as retaliation for Rick and Morty being ruined by the very vocal minority of "screaming at McDonald's employees" fans.
  19. Personally I thinks it naive to think that the way certain words are used colloquially isn't harfmful. I still meet people who say "gay" instead of "shitty/lame/stupid" I don't think anyone here clutched their pearls and gasped "How dare you!" at wallet/bank rape. It's not a matter of you CANT say that more "that's shitty, don't say that." It doesn't offend me, I just think it's shitty and harmful on a macro level.
