  1. Well I think they're overseas, right? One record from overseas is already ridiculous, for a boxset 25 doesn't seem bad. For a boxset. That said, god damn. Wish I wouldn't have to pay a hundo for another 2xLP and some cool art in a box. I doubt local retailers will have it here in Buffalo, so... this sucks.
  2. Get the album on CD? I've never really had this problem - in the rare case I only want to hear specific songs, it's pretty easy to pinpoint when I want the needle to drop, with practice.
  3. Yep, she/he's been busy. I get that limited quantity gives cassettes some extra charm and value, but no cassette should ever be worth 500 bucks. I feel like at that point the artist is... not obligated per se, but heavily encouraged to make a 2nd pressing. Such an easy way to make fans happy, discourage flipping and make a couple bucks. The demand is there, people will already spend 400 bucks on one, you could sell em for 15 each and people would BUY them. I dunno. I'm just bitter I don't have a tape, I slept on that when it came around. Even Insound was selling them.
  4. Gotta admit Macintosh Plus was a favorite vaporwave thing for awhile, but I've given up hope of ever laying hands on that tape. It hit 400 bucks on ebay which is insane. I've even emailed the artist pleading to just make some more tapes, since there's obviously demand, but I got no response.
  5. Wow, that's... nice. Shame it's sold out, I mighta hopped on that. It's weird, a lot of people tag themselves vaporwave when really it's just this nu-disco 80's revival sample junk. I feel like very little vaporwave is actually quality stuff but I find myself enjoying the nu-disco stuff a lot more consistently, maybe a little more on the dancey Saint Pepsi or LAYBAC side.
  6. Maybe no one cares but I found some crazy old guy's record shop near Buffalo NY who has a SOAD - SOAD LP for 50 bucks, didn't buy it because I vaguely remembered that there was only a bootleg release. Checked the Discogs when I got home and I was right. He also had the recent MOV release of Amputechture (dunno about color) for 40 if anyone missed out on that and wants to take a shot It's not much but it's all I got for now
  7. Pretty sure it's still for sale dude. http://www.k-h-d.us/product/holocaust-action-figures-29-dogs-c35
  8. It depends. I have a couple unorthodox cases that don't seem to 'go' anywhere - Never Young is one, the AJJ live double cassette is huge, I have a Tearjerker cassette that came in like a drawstring bag, Skeleton Lipstick came in a slightly larger thing similar to a DVD case which looked really nice but age has made the plastic blotchy on the cover image. Then of course there's the Saint Pepsi tape that came in a damn soda can, and the Holocaust Action Figures tape came in the Barbie doll box. A lot of this stuff is questionable - I feel like if it's in an actual case that holds the cassette snugly, I don't mind it not fitting in a generic tape holder. Soda cans, while neat, definitely doesn't go anywhere. I'll tell ya what though, that Doom cassette set from some pages ago was huge and sleek and just kickass. I have no problem with that deluxe shit.
  9. Plastic sleeves are sold at any major record store and many minor ones. The brand is not important, they are all essentially thin plastic sheaths for the jackets and unless you're going deluxe there's really no difference. If no stores are near you, amazon is probably a good resource. I would throw my opinion out and say it's better to glue rather than tape, since glue held it together in the first place and tape is unsightly and may damage your jacket.
  10. Pickup only. You want someone to buy all, not some, of your record collection, which has a wide, eclectic breadth of maybe-valuable material from all ages of music (no real specifics given) and come to 'deep south' Georgia to come pick them all up, with like, a U-Haul or something? I mean, you might find a couple people crazy enough eventually, but.. that's pretty outlandish, right? Do you have an abbreviated list, or some pictures, or anything? I can understand if it would really suck to break it up, but these all-or-nothing type deals usually turn out to be a whole lot of thrift shop oldies you can find anywhere.
  11. I'd actually be interested in what hip hop you have. But are you actually thinking will buy your collection in one fell swoop? If you're mentioning rarities like 1st press Thriller, you're probably thinking serious bucks. Why don't you individually sell rare and expensive records and sell the inexpensive throwaway ones by the pound?
  12. I'm gonna hop on that bandwagon with a quickness. Missed out on that. EDIT: Whoops, thought we were talking about the b-sides cassette, don't mind me
  13. David Loraine liked your pic! Cute pup. I'm all about bandanas on dogs.
  14. When I ordered the Nah - Tapefuck tape when he first started putting out stuff, he ran out of the certain color of the tape I purchased so he sent a different one and a Ted Nguyent tape as an apology, which was pretty neat. It had a drawn-out 'funny' cover of Stairway To Heaven that was kind of annoying but overall a solid tape, so when this went up on Ranch Records I ordered it immediately. Highly recommended.
  15. Oh man. I'm all over this if there's a reasonable US delivery. I don't think I can afford 23 pounds plus international shipping for this.
  16. Gonna compile a new list here in a couple days and leave this thread in the dust, probably One or two more things gone
  17. Pick this up plus a five dollah Gold Panda single for 33ish after the code. Not terrible. Code is appreciated for sure, but it doesn't seem to do much since it's pre-tax pre-shipping.
  18. If he doesn't specify an alternate shipping method at point of order, isn't it just whatever is listed in your Seller's Terms / cheapest and slowest? I have specific prices listed in Seller's Terms for Canada / International orders, and simply add them at the invoice. Most concerned patrons from outside the country have messaged me first asking how much it would be.
  19. Just copped the Saint Pepsi "Hit Vibes" cassette You have not lived until you've experienced the rush of seeing '1 remaining copy' on a bandcamp release
  20. Unfortunately I already own that Fleet Foxes S/T / Sun Giant thing, and I'm not interested in Motion City Soundtrack in the least, so I won't be entering. BUT. It's not possible to ignore how great of a giveaway this is and how cool Derek and Secular Haze are for doing this and continuing to stay interested in the Karma Train. Keeping this shit fun. No Idea Records has stuff for every taste and is a fantastic label to pick for this, good job.
