As some of you can figure, the screen print didn't come out as we originally planned. I don't believe we had ever said it was a cover or an alt version of the cover, but can totally understand how it could have seemed that way. We hit a lot of stupid delays and issues with a few different print shops to eventually get what we ended up with and it ended up taking longer than expected at that. I don't blame those of you for being bummed, I'm bummed a bit myself since it's not how we envisioned this. We also totally dropped the ball on not giving anyone who ordered it a heads up about the change of plans for the print. It wasn't intended, because we try to do that where possible.

If anyone feels like we've duped them into buying this version of the record, i'm happy to give you a refund on the screen print. If you feel that this version of the record is totally sub par now and you cannot live your life with it, we'll work with you to swap for a different variant where we can if you send this back to us with the print. Just email orders at topshelfrecords dot com.

I don't care about the price as long as it's a good pressing with good packaging. Unfortunately T&N's track record doesn't give me much faith.

rcafilm got a reaction from Blumplum in PO: Kishi Bashi - String Quartet Live!
    From Joyful Noise:

Performed and recorded live by Kishi Bashi and his accompanying string ensemble, the new album (appropriately titled "String Quartet Live!") consists of nine songs from albums “151a” and “Lighght” (as well as a Talking Heads cover!). Where his first two releases featured an array of percussion and electronic elements, the new live album finds K’s familiar songs reimagined, allowing his soaring vocals to take center stage above a foundation of interweaving strings.

The string ensemble gives new life to these tracks, with updated arrangements and the infectious energy that can only come from Kishi Bashi's amazing live performances.

"String Quartet Live!" is released November 13, 2015 on Vinyl, CD, and Digital - and is now available for Pre-Order!

In addition to Blue and Black vinyl, we have a limited VIP Edition pressed on Cyan & Red split-color vinyl w/ Yellow splatter. This version includes a bonus flexi-disc containing a live cover of Beirut's "A Sunday Smile", and is limited to a one-time pressing of 500 hand-numbered copies. Plus, each copy is SIGNED by Kishi Bashi himself.

    Pre-order now.

Will definitely be picking up a black copy of this!

Two months? Hahaha. Dude I ordered mine in January and got it in July. If you PO this and get it before the year ends, you're doing better than everyone who ordered the last pressing.

I'm starting to hate the sleeves (material wise) both T&N and SS have done with some of their more recent releases. Just give us the good ol' paper and a lyric sheet.

I know everybody likes to bitch about this stuff and I get it to a degree, but think about them as human beings. Aaron and Spencer are the only ones really doing music anymore. Aaron's music is successful but very different. Spencer's is... not nearly as successful as UO.

You've spent a decade of your life as part of a creative vanguard making awesome music that people flip their shit for. Then you spend 3 years in civilian life either doing normal shit or doing music that really isn't as well received or is drastically different from what you spent your glory years doing. Somebody says "hey let's do a quick reunion tour for our two most well-received records and probably make some decent money while living a small taste of our old life", you're gonna be like "sign me the fuck up." I don't care how fulfilled they may be in their current careers, you're hard pressed to find a career musician who isn't itching to relive the rockstar experience every few years.
