I thought it might be fun to share stupid/funny moments we've had when we first discovered vinyl records and weren't as knowledgable as we are now. Here's mine:
About two weeks after I developed a passion for vinyl, I ran across an excellent condition copy of The Beatles' 'Yesterday and Today' at a garage sale for $5. Not knowing that the cover art back then was often pasted on (it was visible that the art was pasted on), I thought for a few days that I had purchased a Butcher cover album with a paste-over. Needless to say a quick showing of it to a knowledgable friend killed that pretty quickly...though I guess $5 for an excellent condition copy of the album is still a steal.

Can I ask why all the Circa hate? Juturna, OLG, AND BSN were all good albums. They may not be a fitting choice for the split, but they aren't horrible.

Then other people put genres on them and argue.

Wasn't around then but the diversity on the site now is awesome. It's cool how you can find everything from the latest Deathwish band, to something on Captured Tracks or SubPop, to a Rise or Hopeless band, to some small independent band that nobody's heard of on here. Something for everyone, and I think that's always better than being "scene" based.

Just so everyone knows --- I was THISSS CLOSEEE to getting rights to press this, but it's already in the works.
So yeah -- this is confirmation that illuminate WILL be pressed to vinyl, and soon. I just hope it's done right.

Not when I can get the regular version for $13ppd on Amazon. Not gonna pay an extra $17 for transparent green. I'd rather buy another record with that money.
