I scored a working SNES for $4 at a garage sale this summer and was stoked. then I realized how much all the classic games cost and that was depressing.

How quickly we forget the misery that is a Sumerian preorder...

heh. i forgot about this album.

Maybe it's just me, but if you love the album so fucking much, why are you waiting for someone to guess what you're into and not just buying it your own damn self.

Are these videos staged?

Yeah I got crazy lucky haha one of my closest friends was working the deep web tour with him and got me into the show and got the record signed for me. Pretty awesome, but really just super lucky haha

This doesn't feel cash grabby to me at all. Just some incredible musicians, finally playing together again and realizing it's fun again 

I mean if we want to be really honest you can hear a ton of what we consider Owen in AF1 too... If you don't hear the similarities in some of the guitar work in AF1 and Owen's first 3 records... maaaaaan.

I re-read this and it seemed unclear. My point is, AF inspired Owen, so, Owen inspiring AF is kind of assumed. The "origin" of the inspiration could go either way

so, on LP1 every song title was taken from the last line of the song. Judging by the first song here, it looks like they are doing the same thing but using the first line of each song.. fucking awesome

Just want to say this right now:. I think 2016 is officially the best year for new music in a long time.  Possibly in my lifetime.

Yea, need those to go ahead and sell out so I'm not tempted. Shouldn't be much longer.

Aaron Lunsford is one of the biggest douches around. He goes off on people on FB then deletes everything off Twitter like he's trying to move on from a crazy ex girlfriend. If I had to work with him I'd flip out too and want to end ACB

IIRC it's a collection of arranged versions of game tunes from '84. It's considered one of the earliest game music releases. Harumi Hosono has been in a ton of different bands, but most notably he was part of Yellow Magic Orchestra (who covered video game tunes as early as '78).
Supposedly it sold very well and was released both in Europe and Japan.

Found this sandwiched in a stack of classical. First chip tune?

OK, good. I thought everyone was getting jacked up mailers and records. Ratio isn't as high as I thought. Glad to hear SMLXL is backing up the pressing with great customer service. I'll probably email him later and give him a friendly heads up on shipping advice. 

Ah, I see. Sean is a personal friend and not a dickhead or ego driven at all, he's oddly a big fan and coalesce has always been super cool to us. Was awesome to have him contribute his voice and write lyrics, definitely a "oh shiiitt" kinda moment. We wanted to get him on the last record but it didn't work out schedule wise, he went out of his way this time which was awesome. Coalesce4lyfe

Anyone see them when Schuylar filled in on vocals? It was fucking awesome. Then getting to see them with He Is Legend was the perfect next step.

Test presses are in and the album is set to drop 9/2/16. 
I'll add more info here as it is released. I just figured I'd get the hype train rolling.
