  1. Does it bother anyone else that there are a total of 6 color variations for these two records but there's no indication of what they'll actually look like? Custom Ice? Custom Orange? How about a Custom Picture?
  2. Did anyone get their's yet? I'm wondering how it turned out.
  3. What was going on with TDAG? I had to deal with the Dear Hunter - Act III, but Merch Direct was awesome about it. Really, I just want to see the options that will be available rather than just getting "colored" vinyl.
  4. Just got a shipping notification from InsideOut!
  5. If it's anything like the old Hum vinyl sales, there won't be many updates and they'll probably just show up at some point in the fall.
  6. Ha! I hope you're rich, because you won't find any of those cheap.
  7. This shit is hilarious. "NOW THE REAL SONG BEGINS!!!" Really, the leak on What sounds pretty legit. I guess we'll wait and see.
  8. Why is this any more expensive than the Siamese Dream reissue? (Not that anyone here really knows)
  9. I'd be happy to look at trade lists as well. The stuff listed is just on my short To Buy list.
  10. One of my local record stores does weekly giveaways. The last week's was 90's Indie. My wife won them and only found out what the records were when we picked them up. One was Pavement's Wowee Zowee and the other was Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. Say what you will, but I have never liked that NMH record even after giving it multiple tries over several years. I know loads of people love that record so I figured we could trade. It is brand new, in the shrink, 180 gram. http://www.discogs.com/Neutral-Milk-Hotel-In-The-Aeroplane-Over-The-Sea/release/2173833 Here's a brief list of things I'd like to trade for. I would really like to do an even swap where we each pay for the shipping of the record we're trading. I'm listing things that are of equal price or similar if they're used. It would be nice to get something that is new if at all possible. All wants on my end are for vinyl of course. Smashing Pumpkins - Gish (Reissue), Pisces Iscariot (Reissue) Pearl Jam - Backspacer Radiohead - Kid A, Hail to the Thief, The King of Limbs Deftones - Diamond Eyes, Around the Fur, Deftones Minus the Bear - This is What I Know About Being Gigantic Bonobo - The North Borders Oceansize - 7" singles Let me know if you'd like to trade!
  11. Hopefully this means they'll have readily available copies of Juturna and On Letting Go so everyone can get one for less than $50.
  12. Where did you get Evil Friends on yellow? I've only seen it on black.
  13. You know that this will end up being worth $1000 once it sells out, just like the Benaroya Hall set .
  14. I realized that InsideOut still had the Superimposer 7" so I decided to shoot them an email and ask if they could tack that on to my Frames preorder. They did and just included it into the shipping I already paid. $4 for a 7" that people are trying to sell for $20 or more on eBay isn't bad.
  15. This was just posted on the SP site. Good news from the AEGEA front, as all online copies have now sold out; with no plans in the present to press a 4th (or beyond 1000 copies) edition. Also, my next planned release will be the start of a multi-volume collection of home demos from 1985-1990, which, if those who work for me can be believed, has over 800 titles to consider. But a word of caution, as these ‘works’ are all over the place in terms of quality, etc, as I was just a kid of 18 when I started making my own recordings; and not only do my influences show a little too hard in places, but so do my inadequacies as a sound engineer. To help avoid confusion then over what would be on the records, short sound clips of every release will be made avail; as many are instrumental or ‘vibey’ in nature and may not appeal to everyone (I didn’t really start singing my own songs until I was 19). Comments from those that have heard them though are kind and positive, such as (and I’m paraphrasing) those from Jeff Schroeder of SP, who told me that ‘it’s cool to hear you piece together what would eventually become the band’s sound, even at such a young age.’ And pieces these are! Since these tracks have yet to be mixed, and I’ve a lot to go through, I’d anticipate the first release to come sometime in the next 2-3 months, unless of course I decide to make some public offering before I have the vinyl in hand; in which case you’d hear the compilation of clips sooner rather than later. To that, expect a double or triple first set. And a quick note on the August 30th RAVINIA, as the set continues to expand and be refined with more rare songs, with a feel and ambiance that is really exciting to me as an artist. Let’s just say that in many ways this is the other side of the coin of SP’s musical helioverse, and for those of you tired of hearing the old warhorses, you’re in for a treat. Hopefully these sets won't be $100, but I wouldn't doubt it.
  16. I just got my copy from Newbury. It is the black MOV version and it sounds wonderful.
  17. Just open the AI file in Photoshop and make sure the Anti-aliasing box is unchecked. You can open it at whatever size you need and save it as a .psd. The artwork will stay intact and have hard edges for your printer.
  18. That was only for the people who signed up for the email notifications through the SP Nexus. In the email you could follow a link to the Madame Zuzu store where it asked for a password. That gave you a 2 hour head start on ordering the 3rd pressing. After 2 hours, it showed up on the store as normal.
  19. Even if there is US distro, I don't think it will be much cheaper. Kind of like the MOV stuff. Right now there are 52 black left.
