  1. When did Hot Topic get back in the vinyl game???

I think I'm holding out until I can hear this whole album before I commit.  Dug that 1st track, but those guest appearances have me concerned on the direction this could take.  And let's face it, there's no shortage of options to pick this up.

    600 - PN1 - Swamp Green Glitter
    1400 - PN2 - Gold & Swamp Green Aside/Bside w/ White & Neon Yellow Splatter
    3000 - PN3 - Purple, Sea Blue & Bone Aside-Bside
2500 - US Indie Retail - Half Evergreen / Half Yellow w/ Black & White Splatter
    500 - Banquet - White & Swamp Green Aside/Bside
500 - Newbury - Bone in Swamp Green
    500 - Revolver - Blood Red & Black Pinwheel
500 - Urban Outfitters - Coke Bottle Green w/ Neon Yellow Splatter
500 - Hot Topic - Black Ice w/ White Splatter
    500 - RevHQ - Yellow w/ Black Splatter
    500 - Impericon - Beer / Black / Swamp Green Tri-Stripe
    500 - Evil Greed - Beer w/ Evergreen Splatter
    500 - AUS / NZ - Swamp Green, Yellow & Black Twist
    3000 - Band - Gold Nugget
    6500 - Target - Orange Crush & Deep Purple w/ Magenta Splatter
    7500 - Various - Clear w/ Mint Splatter

How long is that deal? Can't buy now. This a really great deal! 👍 Gotta wait till this weekend. Couldn't find any info in description. Anyone know how thick these are? I like 2mil for my inners but I'll take these if these last till this weekend

This is my first time purchasing the Hudson-branded ones, but from everything I've read online they're indistinguishable from the MoFi inners, sans the text.

Another way that I am dealing with FOMO is to tell myself that if I really want that record a year from now, it won't be a big deal to pay say $100+ for it, because I have already saved so much money not buying at standard retail. It all adds up so quickly. I'd rather have one amazing record than 4 that are good or okay. I think this will also make my collection more carefully curated, rather than blind buys of things that I listen to a few times and shelve. I'm actually proud of the self control I have shown, recently.

This is precisely what I've tried to tell myself, however, I've let that logic lapse a few points throughout the year.  I panic buy so many POs becasue I'm fearful that the price will skyrocket, and I won't be able to obtain one down the road.  But let's face it - that is just silly.  Everything gets re-pressed.   And as you point out, even paying double or triple the price on the aftermarket for an album I develop a true affection for will still limit my spending (and space) in comparison to blind buying everything I anticipate enjoying or digging a single from.

I accidentally stumbled upon some old vinyl invoices in my email from Deathwish and SoundStageDirect a couple weeks back...stuff from 10+ years ago.  Seeing the price difference is just staggering.   And it's not just the price hike, but the shipping hike.  I buy 99% of my records online, so shipping costs have stopped me from pulling the trigger on numerous occasions throughout 2023.

Update on the Form 1099-K stuff.

IRS announces delay in Form 1099-K reporting threshold for third party platform payments in 2023; plans for a threshold of $5,000 for 2024 to phase in implementation

It seems to say that the $5000 threshold for 2024 is temporary to eventually drop to $600 in the future. I hope they rethink that. Even $5000 isn't great.

It's definitely encouraging to hear they're re-thinking how this will apply.  I think if they can raise the threshold and eliminate the ambiguity with how it is applied, then most of us will come out unscathed.  Then again, I could be totally naive...

This is currently on sale for 20.99 with free US shipping.

Of course it is, since I finally caved and ordered last week.  It never popped up anywhere else and it wasn't eligible for site promo codes, so I expected it to be excluded from any BF sales.  I saw both Something Corporate records sold out, and decided it wasn't worth risking and waiting any longer for another retailer to stock it.

Yeah that whole show on Saturday was off the hook. I actually met one guy who flew in from Belgium for the show and back home the next day. Worth it. When I last saw them with Yob they played almost only stuff from HP, which was totally cool, but it was nice to also hear some UYHS staples again. And they played Big Riff, right, or am I just imagining that?

    They definitely Big Riff-ed!

  7. The checkout page said not to refresh, but I didn't see anyone else posting about having an issue so I went ahead and refreshed and was able to check out immediately.  I went with the /1000 bundle and then grabbed the /2000 variants for Big Dirty and Last Night.   My shipping was "USPS under 4 lbs" and cost $21.25!
