What happened to this guy...? His Ultimate Puke EP was excellent. But his newer stuff is just so boring. It's like he gave up.

Super disappointed by the "new" single. I mean, if a band's been playing something live for...3-4 years, is it really new? It also sounds like it could've been a B-side off We Were Dead... and the re-use of the da-da-das from "World at Large" just seems like a huge lack of creativity - especially after 7 years! I'm really hoping the album is better than this. This artwork is great though.

It's December 12th, I highly doubt anything new will be released this year. They're supposed to be pressing more LCW and Long Drive LPs, though.

Anybody have any suggestions for those of us in Montreal? Online works too - as long as shipping fees aren't bananas.

If anybody in Montreal is looking for copies of LCW and Long Drive, the HMV mega-store had one copy of each on Friday night. They're probably still there. LCW was $35 and Long Drive was $30, IIRC.

Fuuuuck, I found Crisis and the self-titled last night at HMV for $20 each. Not bad for double albums. But now Watch Out! is sold out on their site?! Damnit. I always wait too long...

How do you like this set-up? I have the mmf 2.2 and I'm looking into getting a proper phono stage and upgrade my Fiio DAC/amp combo. I want something that can interchange between my computer and turntable. Any hope? I know the Furutech ADL GT40 can do what I want - but it's difficult to find any credible info on it, and no local shops carry it so I can't hear it for myself before dropping $500.

Bit the bullet and ordered LCW split-colored from Banquet. I figure it'll be worth it now rather than paying triple the price in a few months when it's sold out. Anybody from Canada have experience with ordering from Banquet?

Did anyone order the 7"s from Fat Possum? I got mine in the mail today and they're fucking flimsy! One of them already split open and I took out the record ONCE. Super disappointed with them. Were Glacial Pace's 7"s the same?

Time to Die was alright - the title track is one of my favourite Dodos songs. Carrier was a super personal record and I don't think it resonated with a lot of people for the simple fact that, theme-wise, it was quite heavy. I was dealing with the loss of a family member and I think that helped form a special attachment and appreciation of the album. I'm still excited for this new one, though! The single isn't spectacular but I'm enjoying that they brought back the acoustic guitars and loud drums. It's a pretty cover as well.

How on earth do I get my hands on these? I ordered the black variant but these are gorgeous. I'm in Canada, any hope?

Aw shit, really? I was hoping they'd be coloured like the GP ones - they look so sweet. Also, shame about the flimsiness. Hopefully when they get here they still sound good.

I received shipping confirmation Thursday of LCW and Long Drive from Glacial Pace. I'm in Canada, though, so it might take longer to receive them. But, I have a feeling Glacial Pace started sending random orders out early to mess with people's hearts - it's cruel!
