  1. Yeah, seconded. Got the e-mail this morning and almost jumped out of my seat on the bus in excitement!
  2. What was the cheapest option to get this for Canadians? I tried directly from Sigur Ros' webstore but it comes to $92 CDN (with shipping), which is fucking bananas.
  3. Beautiful! Love the artwork (back and front cover) that's shown on the label's bandcamp. Can't justify spending $30 on this right now, though. Maybe if there's some left closer to release date I'll end up grabbing one. Thanks for the heads up on this - the single really is lovely.
  4. How do you know? Exes and The Good News aren't electronic sounding at all. And the "synth" sound on Love Within is just an effect that Russell built for his guitar. I've been a huge fan since the beginning but after Four and the latest single, I'm starting to lose hope. It's just not the same without Gordon and Matt. The Love Within just sounds like a continuation of Kele's solo stuff and the dad-rock riff on The Good News is just depressing.
  5. Ugh...$46 CDN shipped for one record. Wanted to add a toe album too but that just jacked it up to $70. I can no longer afford to buy records.
  6. Pre-order up on Amazon.ca with no release date. $62.24 http://www.amazon.ca/Takk-Vinyl-Sigur-Ros/dp/B012UV38BO/ref=sr_1_10?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1441649380&sr=1-10&keywords=sigur+ros
  7. That sounds pretty interesting - especially with the electronic stuff. Also, is this "LateNightTales" Nils Frahm release old news or what? There's no previews for tracks yet up on Erased Tapes but still, always nice to have new Nils.
  8. Nope. This was at the one in Fairview. I picked up the S/T at the one on Peel last year when they announced the re-presses. But I hadn't seen Watch Out anywhere since then. Was pretty happy to finally spot the green corner of the cover in the "A" section!
  9. For what it's worth, I finally picked up a copy of Watch Out! at an HMV yesterday. There were two copies in store but one of them was pretty banged up around the edges. They also had one copy each of the self-titled and Crisis - but I picked those up earlier this year. It seems like these will start to appear on shelves sooner rather than later!
  10. They are quite good about standing behind their products - but the products they can stand by 100% no questions asked are those that have a specific warranty attached to them. The Besta units do not have an "extended" warranty, neither do the Kallax units. They are covered under the standard 45 day return/exchange policy, though. Anything past that and you need an original receipt for IKEA to honour any type of exchange/return. You're lucky that customer service allowed you to use the receipt they found in the system as proof of payment because technically (and written on all their documentation) you'd need the original paper copy. If you don't have the original receipt but are within 45 days of the return/exchange window, then as long as the item wasn't misused or assembled incorrectly, they will offer you a full refund or exchange for the same item. If you don't have the original receipt, it is way past 45 days and the item is discontinued (Besta line had a changeover late last year), then they can technically refuse to give you anything. You're actually very lucky that you received any money back at all. For more info: http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_US/customer_service/warranty.html
  11. IKEA still sells the Besta line. It's their TV/media storage line. Honestly, cases like this are most likely due to assembly errors.
  12. Absolutely mental. I think I might just wait this one out to see if any local shops will receive any. I'm only missing takk anyway, so if I miss out on the clear ( ), no biggie. Still, $140 for two albums is fucking disgusting. I don't care how great the packaging is.
  13. Any Canadian-friendly links up? I don't know if it's the ridiculous humidity these days or the fact that I'm anxious to land a pre-order for this, but I'm sweating like crazy.
  14. Wait...forgive me for being skeptical, but who is this mysterious "birdwell"? Either way, fantastic news. Been waiting so long to hear that.
  15. SUPER happy with both purchases from Sonic Pieces (Moon Ate the Dark and Otto A. Totland)! The packaging for MAtD is just gorgeous and came with some really cool postcards with the inner sleeves printed on the front and some SP stickers. As well as the download card with a hand-numbered "83/350". Pino by Otto A. Totland is also one hell of a record. Just wish it came with a download code...anybody still have one laying around? I'd love to get one. Really glad I stumbled upon this thread - there's some amazing suggestions in here. Thanks to everyone who's contributed!
  16. Just because you're influenced by a band of a certain genre, doesn't mean your music turns out to be the same genre. I just don't see how toe can be classified as emo.
  17. It's just the shipping that's a bit cheaper. But I also ended up ordering Otto A. Totland's "Pino" as well from Sonic Pieces. I'm in Canada so I'm used to paying outrageous prices for stuff Thanks for the heads up, though.
  18. This Moon Ate the Dark stuff is incredible. Sonic Pieces look to have some really beautiful packaging design. Does anyone know if their 2nd version LP of Otto Totland's "Pino" comes with a download code? I'm considering ordering both the Moon Ate the Dark and Pino but would love to have a digital version as well..
