  1. Huh... funny I found this thread.. I was going through some of my records last night and cataloging them on Discogs, I pulled out my copy of the self titled album and looked it up and nearly fell off the couch when I saw how much it was worth, I had no idea!! Won't be worth as much for long, when the reissue comes out I suppose. Pearl Jam was the first concert I ever went to without my parents... 1995, the VS tour. Was awesome. I destroyed my neck from headbanging and my sister got kicked in the head in the moshpit. Good times!
  2. Spinning my deluxe copy for the first time. For a record pressed at Pallas, which you'd expect to be basically perfect, it isn't very flat! Considering returning.
  3. Some trivia - Paul McCartney played drums on Sunday Rain Dave Grohl told the story about it on Lars Ulrich's podcast on Beats 1. Two one hour conversations. Great listen and awesome stories.
  4. Dammit... ordered and paid for the tshirt bundle and then realised I could have ordered it without the tshirt. Oh well. An extra 5 bucks. Whatevs
  5. Listening to this for the first time since I received my signed copy months ago. It's really really good. Well produced, and a very suitable album for vinyl.
  6. Wow I can't believe I just made it in. Finally a win for me. I usually miss out.
  7. So glad I logged on to this forum today. Placed an order. I'd be kicking myself if I missed out on this.
  8. Which pressing does everyone have? People in the US are saying it sounds amazing but people from Europe are saying meh it's ok... Which leads me to believe the US pressing is better than the EU?
  9. Any thoughts on the UK vs US pressing? I did want to get the UK pressing seeing as they're normally better and the band is from the UK, and also their product code is nicer (infect200lp) but i have just found the U.S. pressing in a local record store. Should I buy the UK pressing online or just buy my local one?
  10. I have four - A 1980 test press of Sugarhill Gang - 8th Wonder George Benson - In Flight, complete with cue sheet taped to the front, signed off by engineer A 12" single test press of a Run DMC track, can't remember which and Tool - Aenima test pressing from the 2nd press, dated 30th Dec 1996.
  11. After the amount of research I did the odds are impossibly slim... I have come close to opening it a few times, normally when drunk. I've always stopped myself though. I should never ever be anywhere near my turntable when I'm drunk.
  12. YES! Absolutely. Apparently the band are going to release their albums on vinyl.
  13. Hi all, found this thread after googling about Tool vinyl. I have a sealed test pressing of Aenima, the 2nd press. It came with with back and front cover sleeve, and two white cardoboard sleeves that contain the pressings. Funnily enough the white cardboard sleeves don't fit inside the cover - they're too big. Here's some photos - the last photo is of the centre label of another test pressing I tracked down, as mine is still sealed. I purchased the pressing off ebay seller themusic24 in around 2004ish.
  14. Ha thanks- I was going through my record collection and found the test pressing again, and decided to google it to see if anyone else had mentioned it. When I bought it 10 years ago there was very little information about it online.
  15. I have a test pressing of the second RTI press, manufactured on 30 dec 1996. Sealed in white die cut sleeves. I can post pics if you like. I bought this copy from the same ebay seller, themusic, in around 2005 or so. Maybe 2004.
  16. Just found this forum and thread. I have a sealed test pressing of the original release. I bought it directly from the pressing plant in probably 2005. There are less than 10 in existence- I've only heard of 3 others. If anyone wants pics I'm happy to post them.
